I mean, you can turn it into something good. I worked with a kid who after a year of learning was almost to my level at 5 years. Kids gonna be great and has sworn to beat my records! Sure I could hope that they don't surpass me but without a successor who would continue my legacy? Tldr, uh pointless long story about legacy and greatness; 7th and 9th grader are gonna do great
Percussion is the only thing I miss about school. Your son is AMAZING! Tell him to keep up the hard work. Best drummer I've seen out of this school so far.
welcome to jig 2 picture yourself in perc section, everyone practices it even if this isn’t their instrument why? bcz it’s cool asf we all love jig 2 sincerely, a trumpet
This young man will never know me or even care who I am, but I was so proud of him while listening how he played that perfectly. It must have taken him hours of practise. Well done young man, well done!
I go to school with him and I asked him how long it took him to get that down and memorized and he said less than 10 minutes. He is still really good at it.
tbh i’m glad to see junior high kids that are competitive with each other, they’ll definitely make good players when they get into high school (coming from the freshman in this vid)
Tie!!!!!!!! Both boys were fantastic....loved how they both silently cheered each other on when they performed solos....both headed for great things......
The freshman was also looking straight most of the time, while the 7th grader was looking dead at his instrument the whole time. Freshy was practicing memorization, 7th grader was just doing it. Believe me I’m not saying the 7th grader was bad, I’m just saying that the freshy was obviously gonna have a tougher time since he was mostly doing it all from memory
Freshman messed up but it was cleaner and way more relaxed. 7th grader almost died from being too tense. Both were good, but I'm not a fan of their stick heights (not like mine are much better but still).
7th grader absolutely DESTROYED it!!!! Clicking back and forth, the younger of the two definitely has a speed advantage and didn't have the one mistake that the freshman did. Good job kid! You da man! 🫵😎
Wow and not even crediting the freshman. The 7th grader looked at his drums like a beginner while the freshman showed him how real drummers do it by not looking down. Freshman was hella better my guy
