Sure beats doing it the old way by hand. Just what I need

Staples should be set at an angle so both legs are not in the same grain of the wood. This helps the staples stay in the post a lot better.

I have an air staple that runs off my gas compressor works great. But this one looks a lot more convenient.

I’ve used air guns a lot in construction. The absence of a hose is definitely convenient.

Thanks for the video, how is it on 2 wire barb wire?..I’m going to go find your makita conversion video now, I didn’t even know that was possible.. game changer

Sorry I just saw your message. I haven’t used it on 2wire barbed yet, but the staples are wide enough and depth is completely customizable so it should Handle it just fine. The battery conversion is awesome.

Angle your staples. Less chance of causing the timber to rive

I learned a new word. I never heard the word "rive" before.
@paddydunne774
@paddydunne774 3 года назад
@@joewoodchuck3824 yes it’s a French word, but used in English by old farm workers and woodsmen. Another use of the word was by our old fella « if I see you doing that again. I’ll rive you in two ! » 😉👍

I guess iam the odd man out. With page wire and barbed wire i always put the staple in all the way because they loosen up over time and the post srink a tiny bit over time again loosing up.

Wow, nice and convenient tool, but $947 for this gun without the battery! Found a good 10G pneumatic gun for $299 but I guess a gas compressor would cost another 7-800 for your application. I'm looking for more like a 12G stapler for 1 x 1 hardware cloth but doesn't seem to be much between 10G and 16G...

@@blackpepe Currently saw one seller listing $430 which is half the price of all others, ...buyer beware.

If concerned with post wobble, why not hold onto the top of it (when not holding the camera of course)?

What is the most shallow depth setting? The spacing on that woven wire would be way too tight for barbed wire.
@midevilone

3 settings for staple depth.

Can I clip it with a 1 inch space into the fence? So I can staple for instance a mesh?

Have you found you have to use DeWalts staples? We have double barbed inch and three quarter staples (not DeWalt brand) that we have bought in bulk that we hand drive, curious if we can use those with this stapler? Can't find any reviews online that talk about this and want to know before I spend the money 😄

Unsure but I doubt it. The dewalt staples come paper taped in a strip.

All the staples have split the stake, why are these tools made to fire the staple perpendicular?
@midevilone
@midevilone 3 года назад
I blame the user. (Me) turn the gun on an angle = correctly installed staples.
@clairethomas50
@clairethomas50 3 года назад
@@midevilone The guns i have used so far are not designed to be used at an angle. I did have a look at a DeWalt one this weekend(curtesy of Sacrofast) and I can see this tool has been properly designed.

What length of staples can you use ? And roughly how much more expensive are the collated staples than loose ?

Twice the price roughly to a 20kg bucket of them
