This week should get my CC3D ATOM EVO ... and your first lesson came !! I also bought a GPS, you can take a lesson on this link and use ... !!! THANK YOU for your video TUTORIAL bye Carlo
I got one of these off Banggood but could get stable flight (maybe its a dodgy one), bought a Naza lite which worked out of the box so not sure where I was going wrong. Love your videos by the way they really helped me when I was building my quad.
I put a cc3d in a ft versa and everything works great but when I'm in flight mod for leveling, when I give more throttle one of my flaps goes up, can you help me I would really appreciate
In your cc3d revolution series you paired it with an op gps unit so your quad could have extra features such as return to home. Would you use the same gps unit on the atom? Or would you suggest using another gps unit such as the mini ublox neo 6m. I have a 250 size quad and I want to add return to home features like you have so your input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance and I find all of your videos very helpful.
Hi Painless 360, you have helped encourage me to try and build a ZMR 250and it's been fun until now -setting up with an Atom CC3D has given me issues with Windows 10 running. Upon first hooking it up and opening OpenPilot (which may I ask also -would it have been better to try Libre Pilot instead?) I saw the Atom was recognized when I plugged it in before installing it on the chassis. Now after flashing the latest software 12.2 I believe-it is NO LONGER recognized and times out. I have tried plugging it in right after clicking "recovery"... Any thoughts? Thanks again for all the HARD WORK you do!
Austin Gillis Have you checked the channel? The APM 2.7 is a HK version of the APM 2.6 so those videos should sort you out. Loads of detailed videos here, best of luck.
If you look up the playlists index the Painless360 RU-vid section you'll find all of the subjects with the videos ordered inside them for simplicity. Best of luck with it all..
Do have a link to the video were you setup a wing with the cc3d? I'm building an fpv wing and have never set one up with a control board before. I love your channel! :)
+KlingerFPV I have got it waiting to be finished as I do have a wing that flies with a CC3D, the problem I can't seem to solve is that when autolevel is turned on the amount of control I have is minimal... Until I get that sorted I'm loathe to release it..
Looks like it has been awhile since anyone has posted. I'm having difficulty finding the CC3D Atom Mini. I ordered two from a supplier and they sent me the wrong thing and then said the Atom was out of stock. Any suggestions on suppliers? Btw, I intend to use it in a lifting body deployed from a rocket and need the craft to be stable during the descent.
CHEAP and CHEERFUL. On Banggood they are selling this frame combo - 2 PCS Kingkong 260 PCB Frame Kits (Grey&Black) 10 Pair Propellers CW&CCW. I couldn't believe what I got for 20 USD. 2 frames and all the parts and pieces and hardware. 2 PCB and LED bar and lense for both frames. 10 props, 2 antenna and battery straps for both frames. These frames are perfect for a SIDE PIN NANO FC and I'm planning on just pure ACRO FPV. They are PCB not carbon fiber. But for me I wanted something I could fly as hard as I wanted to and not worry about crashing and losing a lot of money. CHEERS !!
hi chap , iam wanting to now if you can put the mini atom back to original format as i flashed clean flight to it but i want to put it back to open pilot , but when i try and upgrade and erase it times out and wont connect , is there a way to reverse back to open pilot
Yes you can, we do talk about it briefly in the video. It takes a bit of trial and error. I find the trick is to plug it in after clicking the recovery option.. Best of luck!
+Arkadi Raider I've not tried it but the code is there to do it. I would be very careful about vibration on the model when adding this to the 450. Best of luck. I'd be interested in the results!
+Painless360 as i know, if i will put the MultiWii firmware i can set the HPF to reduce the calculations of the vibrations. first of all i'll try to fly OOB and if it will go wrong i'll add the HPF
hi sir great video and information. is the cc3d still good to use today for a beginner' or is there another flight controller that everyone uses now. i new to quads and just starting my first build which is a 250size?
Hello, I was watching your video here and noticed that the cc3d board installed on the tricopter has the forward arrow facing to the right instead of forward. I have the same frame and the arrow is facing forward and now I can't connect the usb cable. How were you able to turn it and have the heading correct for forward flight?
matthew turner Hi, you're not using the playlists are you ;) There is a video in the 'Introduction to CC3D' playlist that explains how you do this. Happy flying!
painless 360 . im sorry for the ? . it just im gettin so fusterated. because i have spent like 500+ dollars on 3 flight controls an only my cc3d i can fly. my 2 apm controlers i cant figure out . the real thang is . when in my flight mode . weaklevel .weaklevel .axisloc .manual . it dont seam 2 level . it keeps going up an down an up an down . how can i fix this ! and i just want 2 say thankz for all of your help that you have given me . i really appreciate it lots!
+Bishop Vick Looks like you need to make up a wiring harness to connect the motors too. See the APM Mini 3.1 videos as you have to do the same thing there too..
I just now received CC3D ATOM with minimOSD and GPS, you can install these accessories simultaneously in CC3D? Which free use over the MAIN port? Thanks for collaboration
Karlo Osimo You configure the ports in the same way as a full size CC3D. Port and setups for the OSD and GPS are covered in other videos in this series. Best of luck with it.
Painless360 Thank you, I've seen all your videos (very beautiful), but I was wondering if I want to use both GPS OSD that together in one CC3D is possible ? (sorry.. I do not find the video that talks about it ...)
Bishop Vick when the board suffers vibration the gyros sense motion and because this motion is not inputted by the receiver, the board tries to counteract them. pls correct me if i'm wrong. :)
Bishop Vick Flyingflippy is spot on - the vibration can be read by the accelerometers and gyros on the board as movement (sampling frequency etc.), this causes the board to try and compensate and causes un-commanded movement. Always try and reduce the motors and props - you get a nicer, quieter craft and the batteries will last longer!
My cc3d cant be program.I cant get any signal when the usb is plug in.I think because the coptercontrol file is gone.I dont know why.How do i get back the cc3d to its normal state
+kingzmen kinzmen The CC3D has it's own bootloader so shouldn't be bricked. You can re-flash the bootloader to force the board again if needed. Best of luck.
Hi there....so you seem to be the go to guy. I have not yet found a fix to the problem I have with my cc3d. I have an issue with the completion of the mode switch that does not want to allow completion of the set up wizzard. Im running a turnigy 9xr pro with a frsky djt module (non telemetry) .......would really appreciate your advice.
Painless360 I have checked the software and realised that the version of the software I installed was 15.2.2. which is the latest update for the cc3d,atom, and a few others. So what I have done is unistall the software and reinstall the version 15.2.1. It seemed to only have the problem once I had installed the 15.2.2 version. So lets hope that solves the problem.Ill let you know what the outcome is. Unless you know what the actual problem is and you have the fix. Thanks.
+Paul Byn Happy to help but please watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-olIqTiSJHIY.html and come back to me with more detail of what you've tried..
Martin Habets I would always backup the settings, in my experience you need to check all of the setup on the board afterwards anyway. The update documentation will cover this.Best of luck.
wear would you connect up the cppm up on the atom board, is it just in the main receiver port, am normally fly with a naze 32, running cleanflight, and this came free with a quad i purchased, and i would like to give it a go,,,
Georg Hartmann CC3D dimensions on the Gearbest link in the description. Mount is 36mm square with the lugs protruding another 4mm each side. Happy flying!
I tried open pilot when I plugged in the atom the lights go on , but it tells me it's not connected when I try to go to firmware ? Should I trash open pilot and use libre pilot ?
I uploaded librepilot and I have the atom mini cc3d when I do the first part where you hook it to the computer to see that it all connects It sometimes can ask when it does and I upload & erase it times out every time ?
+saadedine salim Happy to help but please watch ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-olIqTiSJHIY.html and come back to me with more detail of what you've tried..
im flying my cc3d in a hk prrditor 650. it flys great, but i cant get it 2 stop drifting, an it yaws ryte all the tyme while in flight . what flite mode should i have it in ? i use weaklevel ,weaklevel , axislock , manual ?
The D4RII used PPM so you can wire it up using only one cable with three wires in (Gnd, +5v and Signal). See us doing that in the ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-p1EhSYNa0pM.html Be careful as sometime the software want Pin3 or Pin8 as the signal wire so check the documentation. Best of luck!
I've got the Atom set up with the quad motors but it won't see D4RII. I've read several places about Pin 8 may be signal wire. If so, how do I modify the 8 wire bundle? Do I swap out Pin 3 for Pin 8 on the 3 wire servo connector that goes into RX channel 1? Do I need to do anything with the old Pin 3?
all I did was take the pluh that had red ,black& white wires and pluggd them into the D4Rll RX ACROSS THE TOP FIRST 3 as shown in painless360 video PINS
painless360 i'm going to get one of these for my hisky 280 hmx... i bought it used from alishanmao on onlyflyingmachines.com and i haven't had a flight yet..i plugged the craft into my laptop using an old phone cord that fit ...it doesn't reconize the right stick on the controller and when i get the output calibration all i get is a little fizzle out of my motors .. not enough to spin the props for sure ..(not that they are on)..also my controler beeps repeatedly it won't seem to bind or arm the copter ..its as if the copter isn't there..i'm learned that controllers sometimes do this from losing a few of them haha..do you have any advice? has any of this stuff happened to you or have you heard of it ..
+Mateo Xia the answer to your question is in the Librepilot documentation and our CC3D Revolution build videos. We also cover it in the CC3D build videos where we add a GPS. They will help. Best of luck!
