Greetings. I am a amateur part time bladesmith with an interest in Metallurgy as a result. I've been reading books, watching RU-vid videos and asking many questions, Professors from Canada, India, the UK, Germany and USA. However, I find two-schools of teaching out there. One group teaching that the Eutectoid temperature line A1 is at 723°C and the other at 727°C. Then one group teaching that the wt%C at the eutectoid point is 0.8% and the other teaching 0.76wt%C. There are some other differences in the two different groups of teaching that I will not go into now. I am somewhat confused to why there is a difference. If we are talking about pure Iron Carbon, there should be no alloys in the steel to make a difference. Could you please shed some light on this for me please.

doesnt eutectic also refer the change in the melting point or am I missing right in front of me ?

I'm kind of confused at this point. Isn't that the Fe-Fe3C diagram (K instead of K', Austenite-Fe3C instead of Austentite-Graphite etc.)? At least that's the seperation they keep making at my university here in Germany
