Yes! Thank you Anjichi, on the part of 8-4-4 people not being able to express themselves; its not really about the system but more about the teachers. But we can not also put all the blame on the teachers, our parents, sisters, brothers..... they also need to play a role in this not just teachers. I like where I am now, 8 months after graduation and I thank my family and friends more than my education. I believe I was mentored well.
Yeah Stacy. Luckily , even after many years of being in an almost opressive system , seems like we turned out alright. It's definitely Important to recognize the role played by other people in our lives such as parents and friends.
I believe igcse is quite modernised like during exams u r really solving real time scenarios and forcing is not applied, there's also more diversity like during subjects selection you align your subjects with ur future career while 8 4 4 teaches you more at the same time it's toooo old and not in sync with the new everevolving world. Igcse also examines the intellectual skills like are you in a position to solve hard tasks in a limited period of time?? while kcse/844 tests the memories of the students!!!
8-4-4 is quite literally instruction based which was from the industrial age which took place a while ago these days, people need problem solving so you can complete tasks at work and also so you can fix issues around you but 8-4-4 also turns you into a tank💀💀 ready for the hardships the world brings.

I actually think its more about the school, teachers, parents and your mentors. I went through two different high schools and they were both kind of chilled. What I did not like are those teachers who think books are everything, sports and other extra curricula will not take you anywhere; hence why I thank God for my parents, I was a very average student C+, B- ..... my dad would tell teachers to live me alone with my C+. He once asked a teacher if the index one can swim as fast as me.
Exactly , the goal is to help identify your strengths and strengthen them further. It would definitely suck if we were all doctors and engineers. What a place the world would be !

@@officialmuaadz9369 go for the igcse because kiswahili isn't a must and you would also choose the subjects that you want to master and you will be asked what you want to be in the future so as to align your subjects with your future career 😀 . I understand ur experience because i did the kcpe and failed the kiswahili after that I went to the igcse,i passed but i have to tell u it's not easy like the stereotypes are!!! But if you are committed and determined it's easy, expect to think beyond the box. Just to give you alook if you have a good English speaking and writing skills that's it. Don't forget it will be two expensive tooooo!!! Kind regards ✨ ☺
