I wear a fedora in the fall and winter and in the summer I wear a Panama straw. I probably get more compliments about my hats than any other item of clothing.

One of my siblings work at a store that sell male accessorries (ties, pocket squares, lapel pins, etc) so I sometimes get some for free sent to me. I have around 80 ties now, around half as many pocket squares and several pins. It's fun to combine different materials and textures. It brings so much life to my outfits :-)

My style is to match the belt and shoes. Usually with a 3 color monochromatic style (dark/medium/light) it is easy to pull off

Regarding belts, I think men should always wear a belt if their shirt is tucked in. I just think it looks tacky otherwise, as if they didn't finish getting dressed. (This does not apply to women, as their pants are usually designed to accentuate their waist and hips, which can be ruined with a belt.)

I think there's a simple rule, as I've read in various books: no pins, no chains, no clasps, nothing. It's better to have your tie blow over your shoulder than have it be anchored. The tie flapping over your shoulder is kind of cool and outdoor look.

Wearing stuff around the house in order to get used to wearing it has never worked for me. I just have to do it. Whenever I do take that step, I find that whatever fears I had, were in my head.

I have 3 Anson belts and 3 buckles. By far the best wardrobe purchase. For years my belts wore out at the holes, or the buckle would leave an indent on the belt where it was always buckled in the same hole, and it would bend and marr my old belts. With these, they are interchangeable and no more damaged belts, plus more freedom to adjust. Also they have a lifetime warranty. I live in Korea though so shipping if kinda high, otherwise I might order more belt options more frequently.

I'm so sorry for you having to buy your husband his own clothes. Like for real? Why don't some men like buying clothes and dressing well? I sometimes spend an hour or two testing out different outfits and showing them to my partner. We call it Catwalking :-) The outfits we like we take a photo of on my phone so I just can pick and choose when I'm lazy. It helps a lot when I'm busy. I have several hundred different styles to choose from now.

I would have called the “tie clip” a tie bar. I think they can be fun as well as classy with a simple collection. Another must have for me are shirt stays. Tails down, socks up! I’m a huge bow tie fan, but for a step dressier, learn to tie your tie on point! Knit ties are a casual knot, silk, be creative best practiced. Oh well, more and more…but, learn to repair your own gear!! Real men can darn and sew in time of need.

Nice video, but I am not so sure about the belts. In fashion, less can be more. Skipping the belt can help maintain the smooth lines and overall simplicity of an outfit. Let your clothing fit naturally and comfortably without breaking up the flow with a belt. Besides, belts often conjure up an image of middle-aged, 'dad' style.

I known hate is a strong word but seriously, I hate outfits without a belt. It looks weird but I can't put my finger on why. It just looks stupid imo. Like you don't know what you're doing or like you forgot to wear your belt because you were in a hurry. So to each their own I guess :-)

I thought you're supposed to wear your wedding ring on the left hand unless your left handed because it will get banged up more if it's on your dominant hand
