It’s stuff like this that makes me say the same thing on the first day of school every year. I teach high/school math, and like every good teacher I say, “For those of you who don’t like math, probably because it’s hard for you, consider yourself lucky. In the real world, unless you’re going to have a career centered around math, a creative brain will serve you better. Just trust me on this... I’d much rather have spatial sense, be able to do DIYs, understand color, etc. then understand calculus. As long as you can add, subtract, multiply, divide, estimate, and understand fractions and percents, which you all should have learned by 5th grade, you’re all good.”
