8 BEGINNER TIPS for WINDBOUND! - WINDBOUND GUIDE 

I play the story mode, my strategy is: save before a fight, if I see, I will lost the fight, leave the game and start the savegame. Save often, if y lost stamina and don't find something to eat, leave the game and sail to a other isle before y starving. So I have build the last 2 days playing one boat and don't lost it, and not like on the first 3h on day one 10 boats. On chapter 2 I find on an isle the mats for a very useful bow, but in my game wasn't there the relict tower. I found it between the big rock area middle of the sea 🙈 All isles are random generate, this was at the beginning strange. In chapter 3 with my bow and my strategy it feels a little bit easier. But I find, there's is unbalancing with food. This point is for me, and it's not my first survival game I played, the most suck point. Perhaps they wikl patch this in future a little bit, to make it easier 🙂

I tried this: Play chapter one fast and with berries and mushrooms only, concentrate on finding the towers and the places with shrines and amphores to collect at least 290 of this crystals. When you go to the exit, you get 3 times 70 crystal when activating the bridges. With 500 or more crystals and a little luck you get good weapons that make the kills easier. And the animals from chapter 1 are available at the start of every chapter.

I know, i never expexted it to have such a steep learning curve. The first hour i was way too focused on killing the gorehorns, which you really shouldn't tackle with beginner weapons the first time. I died like three times before giving it a rest and just focus on crafting. I really hope these tips help you out!

@@Epokk they killed me a couple of time... but then got my first kill after crafting a bone spear and carying some cooked meat to recover

@@ilyassal8138 yeah, with a bone spear they get a lot easier. I also unlocked a blessing that does bleed damage over time, which is a major help

Im pretty sure those are markers almost like a waypoint to lead you in the right direction of which island to go to next

@@pepsimeatball4956 No, i found out: under these lights there are treasures you can dive for. but you have to activate a certain skill.

@@ChristopherGoddard-du7gk Oh man, this is so long ago. As far as i remember, you can leave the boat and when swimming right over these spots you can dive. Sorry but i stopped playing the game when they made it creepier. It lost the feeling i loved.

You use the currency to unlock the diving skill when going between levels but it's rng based

A bit like I showed in the video, make a fire on the ground, interact with it and make a dry rack. Only then can you tan leather

Yeah, honestly there is no golden advice for that. The game is called windbound, so you just kinda need to get the wind in your sails. But if you want to go in any other direction, it can be frustrating.

I think you have to wait for the wind to change direction, which they did not mention

Sailing into the wind is hard in any sailing game or real life. To make it somewhat easier, look up "tacking". I believe is the term.

Actually, learning how to sail in this game is kinda similar to real life. Going against the wind you have to zig zag, tighten or loosen your rope to keep your sail ROUGHLY perpendicular to the wind, and the abaolute fastest you can go is not actually with the wind at your back, but perpendicular to the wind. I have found the sailing system to be VERY rewarding, but you have to know some basics because just like sailing in real life, it takes practice.
