I can't remember what filter I ran it through to get the famicom sounds, but you could probably find a converter on google. The one I used was japanese.

Transposed "still alive" into a midi by hand (It's what I do when I'm bored.)
Coverted to 8 bit sounds
Drew up a nifty nintendo startup animation in MS-Paint, and then combined the images into a movie with Windows Movie Maker.
It's 1989, Valve Software has just released their latest title for the NES - Portal.
*No, you can't actually play it. It's just eye candy to go with the music.

Eight divided by three is 2.66667, rounded up is three. Three divided by negative three is negative one. The square root of negative one is a non-real number. The cake is also not real. CAKE has four letters. Four plus the negative one used earlier is three; Portal-Life Fortress 6 confirmed.

don't forget you blew my mind 3 times. the metric unit (used in science) is based off of tens. 10 / 3 is 3.3333333333333333333333. rounded to the nearest ones is 3. 3+3 is 6. so you are right. Portal-life Fortress 6 is indeed confirmed

I just wanted to add that there are 5 letters in each word of "Still Alive". 5+5=10. If you add the 6 letters from "Portal", you get 16. Dividing 16 by 8 (The amount of tears of HL3 fanboys over the game, in billions) gives you 2. Gabe Newell is one person. 2+1=3. Gabe's lunch consists of an average of 3 cheeseburgers. 3+3=6. Portal-Life Fortress 6 confirmed with cake DLC.

I made this by sitting on a couch stoned and drunk, listening to the same few measures over and over then drawing the notes by hand into Cakewalk Pro Audio 9 (using a mouse, pointing, clicking, etc). If I can find the original MIDI again (found it then lost it again), there are even friendly notes from me in it in the file when it's opened in CW. I also did a decent rendition of "The Wrong Way" by Sublime, but that's lost forever (like tears in the rain).

I've read somewhere that it only works with Chrome. I'm too lazy to find out, as there's no bloody way I'm turning on IE and apart from that and Chrome, I have no web browsers intalled. @HappleProductions and a shaft. The area is a LOOOOOONG ways below you, and is a part of what looks like a blue area, if I remember right (it's been a while since I did this). Now, once you reach the area in question, you have to get into the shaft. Even though it doesn't look like a portal-able area, you can portal onto the side of it. Anyways, it is possible to enter the shaft, and after you do so, you drop right into a room with the cake in it, with lots of cores on shelves.

In the original Super Mario Bros, when you beat Bowser for the end of a world, Toad would be there instead of the princess and he would say "Sorry, Mario, but the Princess is in another Castle!" and since Mario was 8-bit, they make the joke because this song is also in the 8-bit style.

@Netaro1000 In the room after the catwalk leading up to the final battle against GlaDos, there are panels on the walls. Shoot the panel two to the right of the door you come out of with both portals. In other words, shoot the panel in the right corner of the wall that the door you enter the room from is on. This is either a glitch or an easter egg that allows you to leave the "box" that the game is contained in. From there, I believe you portal down to an area with a black floor

The program the guy used to convert the .midi to chiptune is called 'GXSCC'. Just drag and paste the .midi file into the program, and then press play. To save it, just click the 'authoring' button. :~} Super easy. I always convert the music I produce to .midi and see how it sounds when it's chiptune.
