Well if you look closely it's not. It is doing alright but it certainly could improve. Everyone's technique can be better and the boat can be more set.
Oh yeah I get that. Like we are all feathering and squaring at different times. Then we catch at slightly different times. A huge issue is that nobody except 8 and 6 actually "back the blade in and lifting the hands". I am 8 seat by the way.@@noobpilotfrfr
ask your coach if you can all check your handle heights by letting the handles float at the finish to make sure you don't need to move a spacer. If that doesn't make sense, ask your coach, they should understand what I am talking about.
Time. Time. Time. Name of rowing should be time. You could have an awful stroke technique, but if you’re out of time, then you’re going to be hurting the boat so badly
Exactly, being out of time and catching at different times greatly reduces boat speed. It also unsets that boat and causing drag throughout every stroke. I made varsity a while back so I don't usually ever row in that boat.
