As far as shirt stays go, I'd highly recommend getting the ones that have the elastic band around the thigh instead of the ones that connect to the socks. If the clips come undone (And they will if you're moving around a lot) you end up in an awkward situation where you need to hobble to the bathroom before the shirt stay comes out the bottom of your pants. If they come undone with the thigh ones they just dangle around your knee.
Thank you so much for the tips. As far as the shirt stays, I don't have the ones that you attached to the bottom of my shirts to my socks. I use the other style that a lot of people don't even know about. They're actual underwear 🩲 and right below my belly button, (above the fly on the elastic band that goes around my waist) there is a buttonhole; after I put on my dress shirt, the few buttons that are towards the bottom of the shirt, you hook on whichever is the closest button onto the buttonhole therefore, making it an automatic shirt stay. The inside of the waistband has like little tiny rubberized little pellets that keep the shirt from falling out all the way around your waist. They are very comfortable to wear and it's virtually unnoticeable.
I am definitely going to get some shirt stays! About the pants (#8), though, I use hangers with clips, so I can hang the pants straight by clipping them onto the hanger at the waistband. Much better than having to fold them over the rod of the hanger, which can wrinkle them and screw up the crease.
I've been turning my printed t-shirts inside out for years, some still look almost new. Finally someone telling guys to buy pants that actually fit! I'm going to find some shirt stays, good advice!
In the Air Force (or the military in general) we call the those shirt stays “shirt garters” . However the ones I have from the military are cheap and stretch out. I definitely need those shirt stays
Great video! Very informative. Loved the shirt stay suggestion. Ordered a pair immediately. I’d add, for quick hems, or sticking down a buckling button down shirt, you can also get fashion tape (aka clothing tape). Works very well. Usually marketed for women. Hard to find in stores. Best to buy online. For hanging pants, I tend to use pant hangers that have little clips, like what you find in stores for slacks/dress pants.

When I was in the military, I used to use shirt stays for my dress blues. However the more comfortable shirt stays have the bands extending to mid thigh, more comfortable!
This is solid advice. Not only obsessing over your clothes is the most productive way to spend your youth, but you definitely also want to be with a girl whose opinion of you is formed by the creases on your shirt. Thanks!

Most pants that fit around my waist are too small around my legs unless I use really stretchy pants. Therefore stretchpants are my go to for any outfit. Oxcloth and brands tailored for fitness athletes and bodybuilders are a life saver in many cases. Now to give a big tip for anyone who is kindof beefy. If you want regular loose fit shirt and not that slim fit "I try to flex look" Buy a slim fit shirt but 2 or 3 sizes up from your regular size and you are good to go ;)

Don't use vasoline or graphite on zippers both can stain fabrics. The best thing to lubricate a zipper is good old fashioned bee's wax. Comes in a block , you just rub it up and down the zipper a few times and you are good to go.
Step #1 - lose 30 lbs so that I might actually look good in clothes. Steve #2 - buy some decent clothes that fit. Step #3 - try to find this video again and rewatch it (next year)

Holy shit. I never thought I would be convinced by an ad ever in my life. That Shirt Stay thing literally made me so sad that I don't live in the US because it's extremely annoying having that wrinkled shirt after wearing it.
I've deadass straightened my collar with a hair straightener before lol. Other than that I only agree with turning your clothes inside out when you wash (give the armpits a little love with the detergent too get any oils and deo residue off) and buy pants that fit. Don't put tape on your shirt 🙄 and don't buy pants with a crappy zipper.

Guess real men do not wear suits at all then? Suits are there for etiquette... the formal and proper way to look sharp. If there is no care for formality or etiquette, why even bother putting on any of the suits... shirts... trousers... ties or whatever it could be. Looking sharp is not just getting attention and chicks or whatnot. It is respect for others also. Looking sharp versus looking like garbage at your best friends wedding, now which case gives your friends big day proper attention and respect.

The shirt stays are really worth it if you value a sharp appearance. It takes a few seconds to put on and makes your shirt more comfortable by preventing bunch up areas.

KK&J shirt stays are freaking awesome. I have one pair, and I'm always stoked to wear em, because I know I'm about to be on point and I got the gear to keep it that way! Wish I had them while in the military. I'm hoping to land a job pretty soon, and I'll be needing them on the daily. Their not unstylish, their gear for looking great, or you can always keep pointing out that guy that always looks on point and hate on him. Haha he's probably wearing shirt stays.
well i have to take larger pants because of my thighs and ass. A 30 will be perfect but i have to get a 32-34 because a 30 doesnt pass up the ass. like daily struggle

For #3, that would be nice if they actually made pants for people with different proportions. Some of us have these things called thigh and butt muscles, while not having a big belly so any pants that have enough room for our thighs and butt are waaay too big in the waist. Fashion designers stay with patterns designed for flat butt, non curvy legged people and anything with enough space is made for fatter people with the corresponding huge waistline which doesn't work for us
To: Mkrs 01G: I presume you work out with weights and resistance. I presume you take supplements which costs beaucoup dollars or rupees, and take the best of foods. Then, take less and spend more at the tailors or attire designers. You want to get made -- so, get them made!
Great video and tips! I have some questions for you, how do I keep the collars on my polo shirts from getting droopy, curled and all out of shape? Could be as simple as the hangers I have? The ones my ex purchased were flat on top, without the raised area below the hook that mimics your neck. Is there any way to fix a polo collar that seems to have a memorized or permanent crease, leaving one side sitting correct and the other creasing halfway down the face of it?
