Hey, Lewis, thanks for sharing my vacuum card! I love watching your videos, and it's a surprise for me to see you talk about something I've made. P.S: There's also a compliment card for air purifiers, called purifier-card. It also has nice animations :)
I just followed your mushroom ui tutorial and i‘m so happy with the results! Eager to find out what nice things you have now, keep up the great work!🙏🏻
I hope you can make a video soon about how to organize dashboards, way too many are about cards and easy technical stuff and way too few are about organization. Adding cards to your dashboard is easy, where to add which device/entity is hard. I tried making one page per room/category, but that just made it cumbersome to use, as scrolling is way easier/faster on both phones and computers than pagination.
I think the key is not adding too many devices that you can't find anything, I find people add controls for devices they never use and it just takes up space. That and grouping devices together where possible is also a great way to improve space
Health warning on mushroom dashboard strategy - after installing it I didn’t realise it put switch off all sockets at the top and clicked it - so lost broadband, RpI etc. I’d add vertical stack in card into the mix for those good looking mushroom dashboards
I love using card mod to combine different cards together to form a new one! For example I made my own vacuum card, similar to the one in the video, but instead it's made from mushroom cards and fits visually together with other mushroom cards.
Lewis, you have been crushing it recently. Great video content for an old geezer who is just start the HA journey. Would love to see your dashboard design approach with all these options. Pick one or mix and match? Adaptive? One adaptive dasboard for all use cases and devices or lots of dasboard for different devices, users, and locations?
"fan go spin" oh you star! I can already tell that Lewis is going to have an entire catalogue of Dad jokes to mortify his kid with. Keep them coming mate ♥️
it would be nice if you could redo the movies on mushroom as apparently based on the latest homeassistant does not really apply anymore any of your guides. Thanks
It would be so good if you can make a tuto on adaptative dashboard from minimalist. I have minimalist working great, but can't figure how to configure adaptative.
I have been struggling to find a good gauge card that allows for the configuration of short press vs long press. I love the look of the standard gauge card, but want to configure the tap action to load a sub-panel dashboard. Do you have any recommendations?
So, still no dashboard that can be read across the room. I use HADashboard on my wall mounted tablets today with tiles showing time, temperature, electricity prices, status of washer, dishwasher, open windows etc. I can sit in the sofa and see everything I need to know from a distance. It was set up long time before Lovelace was even born and still nothing can compare to it. All Lovelace cards takes up too much space and with too small font for the important values.
The automatic dashboard built into HAAS is a stinky fart of a ui. New card is a step in the right direction but hardly anything to get excited about. Thank god for third-party devs with a trace of ui/ux aptitude.
It would be great if the core would implement these nice looking cards. I refuse to use the HACS stuff since it is fastly unsupported and I'd like to rely on my stuff for years.
It'd be nice if you started the video by saying where or how you access these cards. What's the point of showing us cards viewers don't know how to get?
