1 Eugene gets shaved 2 Mikie gives Trish a present 3 Trish offers up Christy 4 Patterson & Brisco Dirty old men 5 Eric Bischoff Lady killer 6 Diesel gets a casket 7 Dennis Knight get sacrificed 8 Terri Runnels Loses a fake baby No I think you're stupid because do u see that in the video it was on raw sure but not in the video like he just said
A-fucking-men! Mickie James was the best thing in WWE during her time there. The crazy stalker angle worked perfectly and she sold it like a pro. Also, best counter to a wrestling move ever. She's still the sexiest woman to ever set foot in a WWE ring imo and one of the best wrestlers.
The time Roman reigns won the wwe championship on raw, that was pretty disturbing ;) (edit) Apparently the ;) wasn't enough indication that this was a joke, so I'll spell it out for you, this was a joke, RR winning the championship on raw was one of the few times that he was booked properly
CWeaveLyrical exactly! I weep for the future - seems like no one tries their own skills first and would rather have someone/anyone else "do it for them" (either that it have gotten too lazy to preface w/an admission of failure of searching on their own and are thus requesting assistance). Ambition..... Oya oya.... It's as rare as empathy 'round these parts.
And then Stevie Richards gave JBL a receipt for that on Smackdown by hitting him with a sideways chairshot. And then little Joey Styles knocked out JBL.
Agree strongly that the miscarriage storylines are tasteless, cruel, and upsetting. I've been by my wife's side through three miscarriages and they're gut wrenching, emotionally draining, and ultimately horrible experiences I wouldn't wish on anyone. Stats actually show that upwards of 30%-50% of pregnancies end in miscarriage, in this light the angle really is kicking many in the gut. Thanks for calling it out. Happy to say that 4 times was a charm for us and we have a little guy now.
Hakushi and Bret had a huge fued back in the 90's. But yes they have it in the thumbnail so people like me click on it because I was a huge Hakushi fan.
The Lita miscarriage is just proof that it wasn't just Vince Russo that was writing awful, trashy 'reality' storylines... although he was responsible for the Terri Runnels one.
I remember the wax Diesel in the casket! Classic Undertaker moment! Kevin Nash on an interview said thinking about that still freaks him out. I don't blame him, that's genuinely disturbing. Also Undertaker was a Baby Face at the time
Nicolas Frasson True, still he started a heel and that sort of demented action is very heelish. Then again We all love Undertaker's mind games. It's a throwback to an era of Pro Wrestling that the older fans love. #ThankYouUndertaker
@@tafua_a they wanted to make a batman movie with Harley Quinn as the main Villain in the 90'a, but with the failure of the other movies, they decided against it.
got a some Booker T puking on Michael Cole during his match with Rikishi after getting the Stink Face, even Cole threw up by the announce table and left the show early. Super Eugene's heel run after he got drafted to Smackdown. for some odd reason they thought making a Special needs person into a hated character. Super Eugene would come out and demand respect because "I'm Special", and people were actually booing him!! and of course the infamous Heindenriche/Michael Cole backstage segment where Heindenriche dry jumped Cole into submission.
I remember that Diesel moment. And I was watching it like... wow that looks like a very very good Diesel. Like very real. They did an extremely good job with that one. I'd be freaked out by that.
lets admit it, attitude era was very perverted, sick and disturbing most of the time, while new generation era 96 97 was basically attitude era without the perversion
None, I'm just pointing out that this list was made based on what the viewers felt when they saw these scenes on TV back then, rather than the entries being stuff that won't cut for public television nowadays.
How about the time where they had a funeral than a fight and the guys dead body rolls on the floor. Literally the moment I lost all respect for WWE. That may have been smackdown.
I still remember Dennis Knight's sacrifice, those short videos of when he was held in a dungeon screaming for help being tortured by the Acolytes, I actually have the image of that knife carving the symbol on Mideon's chest in my memory. That was literally one of the most disturbing moments I've seen in wrestling history.
How about the companion piece "8 Disturbing WCW Nitro Moments You Totally Don't Remember?" Hogan getting a model of his head in a box from Sting (or Bret Hart - it was never explained, because WCW) deserves an honorable mention as much as Hakushi with Bret's head.
WWE at the end of the '90s was a seriously weird promotion. They became a wrestling version of tabloid TV and began using purposely controversial storylines to attract an audience outside of their usual fans, in an attempt to get mainstream attention. Many of the gimmicks used during that era (e.g., Beaver Cleavage, the fake pregnancy angles, devil worship, several female performers popping out of their tops "accidentally", such as Jacqueline and Sable... well, you get the idea). It helped them beat WCW largely because WCW, outside of the nWo, was absolutely horseshit at the time, and even then the nWo had lost its appeal with the fans. Then Vince Russo came to WCW and attempted to beat WWF by copying what he did to get WWF their audience, but the fans didn't bite and WCW sank into the sunset.
Jason Jimerson wait I haven't watch wrestling in years I was just gonna write about youngs hand child but you're telling me they showed it years later as an young adult?!
Yes he was! LOL! I believe it was a couple of years ago on Raw. Exactly when? I don't remember. EDIT: It was on the Raw 1000th episode! It's on RU-vid.
I was at that Raw and remember the moment the Rock smacked Mick with the bell it had a sound, but when I was there live, I didn't hear anything!! WWF/E dubbed it in!! LOL!
A lot of people say they want the Attitude Era back, but fail to realise and/or remember that all of these (barring the Diesel in the Casket moment) happened during the Attitude Era.
What about the Kane thing? He was still masked, think it was when it was leading up to Kane vs taker, but they had a thing where Kane had "magical powers" and had lightning come and hit a camera man that was like 20-40 feet up for some reason. Nobody remembers this?!
This was a bit fucking quiet, also Nick Dinsmore was a hell of a worker, great wrestler before he got called up to the main roster and turned into Eugene, ah WWE, you classless bastards.
Just went back to watch that Chyna handicap match, and what I saw was she performing a double testicular claw on the guys earlier in that match. *sigh* SJW double standards at their finest....
Nicolas Frasson apples and oranges, you stupid idiot. The testicular claw is move meant for *pain* used by heels. Kicking someone in the balls is not the same thing as fondling them, you republican asshats.
One of the most graphic things I've ever seen in wrestling was Hot Stuff Eddie Gilbert vs. Kendo Nagasaki (not sure if I spelled his name right.) If anyone ever saw this (I tried looking this up in the past and couldn't find it), it will have them holding their mouth and their face. Kendo was into the martial arts. His foot went into Eddie's mouth resulting in his skin area above and below his lips severely splitting...Other disturbing moments that was uncalled for were strangulation moments like when The Undertaker was choked out with a garrote wire and the time when R-Truth was choking Norman Smiley.
The miscarriage storyline was awesome! Think of the heat that was generated. The late 90s in wrestling was the monday night wars. The WWF were in a war with WcW. These fucked up storylines had the WWF spoken about mainstream and people watching to see what happens and to complain/promote the show. It was best for business. Controversy is what is missing today :(
Mr. Clod they are real people but they are actors on an entertainment show just like walking dead or lost, listen to edge do an interview in the 1990s he says so himself its just the same thing, if you find these wrong there is definitely a problem somewhere
Goku Black Owen heart died in the ring and they still continued the show and how’s the company doing now? How’s Owen hearts family doing now lol the company always wins in the end it’s just a tv show at the end of the day they are just actors
Nightmare Entity actually, the company is fucking garbage now, the ratings are plummeting. The fucking difference is this ISN’T a cartoon, and people can be hurt, humiliated, or KILLED.
Listen, as much as I think it's kayfabe to do miscarriages.. I think WWE went over the line. My mom had one that she doesn't like to remember and she's up in her seventies but it is just having to remember the experience and know that was a parent who really did have one of those and had to live with the effects of it.. Pretty lame WWE.. I'm glad they've never done it again.
I remember that Chyna vs The Stooges match and remember how odd and off putting it was to see them fondle her like that. I mean I knew they were heels for comic relief but geez who approved that spot?
