I remember watching the video that showed this, forgetting about it, playing Prey, do it by accident trying to see if I can break the game, remembering about it, and then laughing at myself in shame

Fighting mud crabs with a bow and playing it like early final fantasy games where bows didn't need arrows to work and you just pissed off the entire starting town so nobody's gonna sell you anything.

The point is, you have three such scrolls. If you fire up one, take a leap, and before you crash onto the ground you fire up another one *with less than seven seconds until impact* on the clock, you are going to land safely.

​@Robidu1973 Yes! Those scrolls teach you how to think in Morrowind logic. If you just use them without thinking, you die. Figure out the timing or combine with a featherfall spell and they're epic. I usually hung onto them for use during the famous "travel across the map under a vow of silence" pilgrimage quest. If I wanted to mix things up from using the speed levitation blessing you could get from a nearby shrine for that instead. Get clever and the game rewards you. See also: Boots of Blinding Speed + a resist magic spell when equipping them. Anyway, you just reminded me how much I love that game!

I completely forgot about the revival pill, which is why it took longer than it should've to get past the section with the Sorrow

When I first played MGS3, I didn't know about the Revival pill and never used the fake death pill. When I got to the Sorrow, it took me weeks to get through him.

Ayan Haider I actually used the Fake Death Pill to forcibly redo an area or reload my save when I was doing my No Alert run. Easily my most valuable item next to the tranq.

I actually found a little cheat that SOMEHOW worked when I took cover inside a wagon and just shot at them, all in relative safety, except one of them was right next to the wagon and scored a couple of hits while I was in the wagon, but I managed to kill the entire group from the safety of the wagon before jumping out and killing the one right next to it cuz I couldnt hit him from INSIDE the wagon...I also think we hit each other with Power Gauntlets at the same time and I BARELY survived with like barely 5 hp at the end while HIS corpse went flying in several pieces. XD it was so epic and yet so hilarious at the same time.

I did that, and I ended up permanently breaking the DLC in that playthrough by using the TCL console command to escape. I don't have a save from before that, but I'll keep that in mind for future playthroughs.

omg i remember the first time i played me2 and i did all the extra missions and made all the right choices just by default bc it felt right. Everyone lived and I didnt even know that they could die until i read about it. i couldnt imagine why anyone would do something different from what i did lmao

biohazard724 Well I disagree because the game isn’t over, it just revives your character to carry on as if nothing happened. Borderlands, like every other game that uses an autosave or checkpoint system, doesn’t have a game over screen

Well, actually, there IS one I can think of. In the escape pod in Space Quest 1, there is a middle button on the console that the game tells you is clearly labeled "DO NOT PUSH". Nonetheless, you CAN push the button ... only for the pod to crashland in a different Sierra game and kill you upon impact.

My favourite Sierra death was at the very beginning of Rise of the Dragon, whereby if you leave your apartment without having put your clothes on first, you get arrested for public indecency.

Stratelier Actually, they did cover that Space Quest one in another video. And to be fair, if you went to the winged ones in KQ6 and already had all the items you needed, the game would let you know by having Alexander say "I am ready." when the king warns him about the dangers in the catacombs.

As I hear it, basically all of Nier Automata has potential for this. I was going to suggest the time I walked in the wrong direction during the second playthrough's intro and apparently 9S just wandered off, never to be heard from again.

I don't think that's the most embarrassing game over in the Stanley parable. The most embarrassing one is where you jump off that platform and fall to your death. You dont even think about the possible consequences, you just think "hey I wonder what would happen if i jumped off this thing." Then splat.

To be fair, that's the only way to get out of that scene...so you're kinda stuck with that choice. The "best" part about that whole ending is that the Narrator is pleading for Stanley to listen to reason, and the fall isn't even enough to kill Stanley; he has to jump off the ledge three separate times!

Dat-Mudkip the fall I was talking about was from the moving platform. Theres no railing to prevent you from jumping off the first time you get on it so most people think huh i wonder if I can jump off this, they then walk off the edge half expecting there to be an invisible wall to stop you. The one you talking about if funny to, it's just that this one is one that you could completely miss, the only ones that get this game over are the ones that get this game over are the player that look at a two story drop of instant death and wonder "will I die if I jump off" and then jump

You know, of all the wrong turns people have made at the start of Dark Souls, that might be the most wrong one I've ever heard. But that certainly makes it a unique experience! I hope you still managed to figure out what to do next. It's a fun game once you find a way to go forward! Also @office chair, exactly how many first time players of Fromsoft-style games are going to be able to parry him consistently enough to whittle him down in their first 5 minutes of Lordran? My guess is, like, maybe 5 or 6 prodigies, but otherwise that's not really viable.

I swear I thought when they were going with a Laura Croft game and talking about Tomb Raider Legacy (with the T-Rex), I swore they were going to cover the "Midas Touch" game over. There is a statue of Midas. You touch him. Your skin hardens into Gold and you Die. Game Over. I really felt stupid.

Check the following: medical journals on how much of a hit the human spine can take and the world record for how hard a human can punch. Turns out the latter is a much, much higher number than the first. In fact boxers have to wear the gloves specifically BECAUSE of that particular detail.

@@lilfrostyy8829 There are only seven cervical vertebrae and a damaged vertebrae is not enough to kill someone. There needs severe trauma or separation of the spinal cord. The if the spine is severed between the first, through seventh vertebrae, death is unavoidable due to all brain controlled functions being cut. But people can still survive as quadra/paraplegics for spinal separations below that line or partial separations above. Like Christopher Reeves.

@@lordnul1708 that's really not how video games are made. Certainly not ones that big. He will have a broad creative vision, but so much of that work belongs to the artists, designers and programmers that actually created it.

Miyazaki both wrote and directed it MAKING him the creator, but as you said it's the artist, voice actors and most importantly programmers that put the whole thing together and breathe life into it. Direct comparison: Dungeons & Dragons, especially the "default" setting of The Forgotten Realms a setting that makes BotW, Elder Scrolls and all of Soulsborne combined look like a half meter diameter kiddie pool by comparison). Gary Gygax created it (and later brought others into the creative fold to add to an already existing world), but it was the additional creative talents as well as the players that gave it life and Another direct comparison: Star Wars. George Lucas created it, the cast and crew brought it to life and pulled it all together. Across all forms of media, it's the same principle. If the writer and director are the same person, they're the creator no ifs ands or buts. The illustrators give visual representation, actors have the duty of portrayal OF the characters and lastly programmers to make sure everything works. And one more, William Shakespeare wrote and directed his plays, but the actors, costume designers and prop makers brought it to life.

If your court approval gets too low you get kicked out of the party and so are not there to stop the assassination and get a game over screen.

Lorias What's worse is how easy it is to lose approval by being stupid. Literally just jump around the place, I've never seen approval drop so fast. Also when you first greet Celene when you enter the ballroom, if you pick the bottom option both times (ya know, the ones where you try to warn her that she's gonna get killed), you're instantly escorted out.

Bloody Orlesians. I can understand the jumping around you're at a fancy party but "the game" requires way too much subtlety for any of my Inquisitors to put up with. Though if I'm honest I do like the fact that you can actually get kicked out of the party for just messing around.

James Fuller how have I never thought to try that. I removed the OS chip the moment I saw it, i screwed around with the options to mess with 9s, I even ate the the fish the second I got it, but I never once thought to use the self-destruct to blow up the station. I have to go and try this now.
