Just add moisturizer to your foundation to thin it out and create your own tint with the coverage you want. This works especially well if you have a fuller coverage product that’s too heavy or shade that’s slightly too dark. It’s a way to use up those products
I've tried this and I find it ruins the longevity of my foundations. I match water based and oil based so I'm not mixing oil and water. I ensure like for like. Not sure what I'm doing wrong.
3:50 I feel the same way about the DRMTLGY tinted moisturizer. So disappointing. Also, since Ive been watching you (many years), this is the most flattering hairstyle you’ve ever had. Very lovely!!
It’s interesting how all of our skins are so different. Through watching you and other RU-vidrs I finally figured out what my still oily 70-year-old skin requires. Foundation doesn’t work for me because the oils break through. So, I thought let me try a tinted SPF and then put an oil controlling primer on top of it. I did that today for the first time, and it seemed to work pretty good. I’m liking Milani’s Erase Base as a primer because it has salicylic acid in it. It looks like there are other SPF foundation like products out there for me to experiment with. Luckily, all the skin care I’ve been doing for the past three years has improved my skin so much that I can go with a lighter weight foundation. My problem is exactly the opposite of most people my age who have to moisturize. With all of the different kinds of products on the market today, I’m determined to hit the right oil controlling formula in my SPF and primer and eliminate foundation altogether.
I agreeu that Ķimberly looks stunning. You can make your own skin tint by adding a drop or two of your foundation into your moisturizer . Just have fun creating your own custom blend. I am too fair to use bronxer or most contours, i get that 6 yr old muddy face. Instead, i use my blush to go around the hairline to reduce thet forehead along your jaw line blend it well with fingers or brush , then apply lightly where you need a little colour. Don't go crazy with it, less is more. Your damp soonge can remove excess. Have a lovely day. 😊
I do like the Chanel water fresh tint .. it’s expensive but it does cover and blur ..it only takes one pump for my entire face .It is great especially for summer. ❤❤
I agree with you on the Bare Minerals foundation, Kimberly. It evens out my skin and gives a super light coverage. And it works the best for me on not exaggerating wrinkle lines.
For coverage & SPF I like Elta MD in light & Australian Gold in light. I sometimes use a pea size of the AG & add 1 pump of the EltaMD for my perfect color. It really does look like a foundation (both separately & together)! Give em a whirl! ❤
I love the australian gold tinted sunscreen it is matte and lasts all day. Looks like foundation on me. I also like the drmtlgy tinted sunscreen and akeays get compliments when i wear it.
Really enjoyed this video! Love the bob! I'm growing out a pixie (which I loved, but ready for a change) and I am at the "awkward" grow out stage. I've been a long time fan of the Bare Minerals matte powder, as it doesn't have the bismuth oxychloride, which my skin doesn't tolerate. And I love Talbots, just about all of my clothes are from Talbots because I just love the quality and longevity. I do think they are phasing out the Charming Cardigan line though! Happy Holidays!
Love your hair style. I'm 67 with extremely sensitive skin. I wore Merle Norman mineral powder foundation for years. Prior I used Clinique foundations and after years it aggravated my skin. I think they changed some of their formulas not sure. I started using bareMinerals tinted moisturizer a few months ago and love it. It lasts for hours. I didn't notice it disappearing and seemed to look better throughout the day. I definitely have a smoother healthier look to my skin when wearing it.
I am not a big makeup person and I'm 56. I use Josie Maren argan oil spf. It truly makes me glow, lasts all day and my skin feel very hydrated. I don't need to use any other moisturizer. It is a bit pricey, but it lasts. You only need one pump. I get mine off of QVC, but Sephora has it as well
I have used Bare Minerals for years. I love the moisturizer tint. It does stay on my face all day. I top it with mineral veil. Perfect for days you want light coverage when you are at home. Like your information.
I'm new to your channel. I have that Beauty Pie skin tint, and I agree that it doesn't provide enough coverage and will not be purchasing it again. However, I love Beauty Pie's skincare products. They are very high end at a much lower price.
I love the Wet n Wild Hydrator skin tint(I have tried many). I am 71 with medium skin, very few sun spots and I do not like foundation as a rule, it is all just too much for me. I recently purchased erborian BB creme a Korean formula and it is beautiful on the skin. Also very high end but the Victoria Beckham contour stylus is amazing, takes very little, not sure yet how long it will last or how cost effective but it blends like a dream:)
I agree I do not like foundation and the Wet n wild hydrator. It covers more than other skin tints. I do love the bare minerals powder foundation. Easy!!!
I have also been a Talbots and Chicos fan. Their pieces work very well for capsule wardrobe plans . Enjoy Christmas. Hope you have abundant blessings in the new year.
I totally agree on the skin tints. I tried two this year, one drugstore and one high end...did not see the point or hype and decluttered both. Love the Revlon Illuminance..it is wonderful!! Merry Christmas!!!
I have to tell you I purchased the Revlon Iiluminance & Elf bite size blush and highlight (no color on package LOL) in a Fall color range. I must say I absolutely love them both!! I’m 53 neutral skin tone, dark brown eyes and brown hair.
I agree with you on the newer skin tints. I started using using Almay's Shade Match at 16 - used it most of my life (48 now) - strayed for a couple years with the Bare Minerals tinted gel moisturizer - but ultimately went back to Almay. Looking forward to trying your Revlon recommendation! Thank you :)
At last someone who speaks the truth about skin tints! Thank you Kimberly! I am the same age as you and find it annoying that these tints which cover nothing cost the same as a good foundation. I think they can work for young girls with flawless even toned skin who just want a light tint to brighten up their skin but for anyone looking for cover from rosacea or very uneven skin tone with red cheeks they are a waste of time and money. Also I don’t need skin care in a skin tint or foundation, I do all that before I apply my base. Thank you for your video. 🥰💜
The Dr. Jart BB premium balm tinted moisturizer spf 40 has more coverage. A lot more coverage in fact. I think it’s a good option. I enjoy it a lot. My favorite foundation is Giorgio Armani Luminous Silk and Dr. Jart is a close second. Maybe even moving up to a tie. Love it so much!
Agree about the Jones Road. So disappointing. Just bought the Bare minerals today based on your video. I have dry skin so hoping it doesn’t settle in lines. 16:43
I would love to see you do a video with L’Oréal true match tinted serum. I am loving it. The coverage is buildable. But, give the prettiest glow on our mature skin. You look great today!
Everyone seems to be loving the new Revlon foundation. I’m using Ilmakiage right now and it’s perfect for me but I seldom wear foundation anymore so looking for a less expensive one
Hello Kimberly! I am a new subscriber and I was wondering if you have considered updating your Amazon Shop? I was perusing the different categories when I noticed it hadn't been updated for 2 years. That got me to thinking that maybe there are items you would now take off the pages and new items that you would add. Thank you!
Thanks for this video - I just heard about the beauty pie and was considering it - I agree with your logic 100%. I do have a cc cream I love Chanel CC cream more covers more than a tint and it lasts.
I like elta md as well. It is lighter than a foundation but it does have coverage, enough for my 66 year old skin, and lasts me all day. I do powder with a finishing powder and maybe that helps it last.
Have you done a video trying the RMS uncoverup concealer? I’m going to look into the JR pencils do you set them when you use under your eyes? Do they last all day if you don’t?
Love your videos. Thank you for all the great information. Would it be possible to have one of your videos dedicated to Lucy and your cat? Maybe like a day in the life of your pets. They are so darling. Have a great day!! ❤
Morning Kimberly I love the Elf products so easy to use I have to agree with you about skin tints I have bought a few & not to keen on them Have an amazing Christmas & stay safe ❤🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉
Please show us how to wear makeup on when its humid. I'm also thinking of moving to The Villages and want to see how you like it now that you've been there for a while. Thx
