Premiere might be lacking some tools when it comes to color grading... For fast editing and easy workflow i give it to Adobe Premiere no cap

DR is better optimized too, it will get more out of your PC hardware (in the studio version at least). It used to be close, but the last few years DR is the clear choice!

I’ve used Resolve for a a couple years for all my personal projects. Sadly I’m stuck to Premiere because of the company I do some work for 😢

One feature Resolve has is the broken proxy/camera source workflow. Set clip resizing/framing/rotation (eg. Inspector transforms) on proxies, and they do not reliably transfer to HQ camera source originals. So oddball frustrations are a Resolve feature. It’s not a timecode issue, it’s something else. And no one can explain why it doesn’t work for me. I have now spent 4 weeks trying to successfully manually stabilise and key frame inspector transforms (far to unstable for Resolve to stabilise on its own. Worse yet much of the action is in the action unsafe zone.). My ultimate solution. Export manually stabilised proxy timeline at source resolution. Then reimport /supersize,processing resolve AI minimal stabilise to smooth out the editor reframe instability. Grade And export out at quarter resolution. It’s not supposed to be that hard. If the original key framed reframe had stuck to the timeline when I switched to camera originals I would have been done by now. But at least I am getting really really fast at rotating to vertical by hand 3 to 80 frames at a time. Only another 5000 key frames to go. …Again. But this time it is slow, because I am working direct on the 4K camera originals in ProResHQ. It’s only at 30fps, so not as bad as it could be. But at least this community understands my woe. Now back to it.

I see clips of folks like you, editing away on a laptop, and no mouse. HOW? I have used laptops for a dozen years, gave up buying desktop machines so long ago. But there's no way in heck I could do precision sound or video editing with a trackpad. Yikes! How!?

Can you do a tutorial to had fire flickering or police lights on a face using the light adding feature?
