well... i tried it... kept a huge amount of different hooks on different safety pins.... honestly it slowed me down ... kept getting poked when getting out a new hook, and decided to do away with the safety pins... good for putting them away, but not while fishing...

that knot you did was basically a palomar knot. i use it to drop shot very twitchy rubber worms or big chunky cut bait for catfish. i only loop it one time and i dont keep that loop ON the hook. very good video mate! cheers from America ;)

the knot you showed looked like an improvised Palomar knot perfect for braid but is really hard the tie with mono. For mono the clinch knot is the easiest to tie on.

That knot you showed. My grandpa taught my dad to use it. My dad taught me to use it. It's a good reliable knot

And I put the hole a little bit sideways So that's why it stays a little bit sideways but still pretty good

I use 2 pieces of cloth to tie the fishing rods, I also use the cloth to clean hands or the knife if/when them/it gets dirty, then I just clean the cloth later, and re-use it to tie the rods, etc.

Ok, I like your ideas. They are at least kind of funny, and some are smart. The wine corks on the hooks was smart. Your modified Palomar knot for the fishing hook is very, very bad. First, you should only loop a palomar once, max twice. Any more and you will create too much heat in the knot and it will break under stress. Specially on braided line. Second, you NEVER tie anything under the eye of the hook. If you look closely at the eye, you will see it's formed by bending the shaft around in a circle. The loop is rarely closed so there is a gap between the end and the shaft. The end of that loop has an edge that will very quickly cut right through your braided line. Unless you are snelling a hook, you should always tie on top of the eye. This way you won't cut your line. Your idea for fishing poles with Velcro ties is close to genius. You are correct that poles will fly out of a boat and there is less chance if they are all tied together. Better to keep them in a pole locker or a pole holder, but this is a very smart trick.

There are many knots to use. My favorite used to be the palomar knot (the knot you did). Now it it the improved clinch knot

with the sunglasses/paracord sleeve, you could use heat shrink and a heat gun on LOW to secure it, instead of tape. Careful not to put it too close. You'll melt the sunglasses arm.

The knot you attempted to tie is called a Palomar and you only need to wrap it once not three times. It is the strongest fishing knot you can tie.

on your knot bring the loop all the way up over the hook and you have a kind of palomar knot its the strongest. and your fishing pole holder with the noodle is the best thing I've seen. thanks

Another cool life hack for this is use a large hook and put a hot dog just like you would do for a worm on the hook and this way use guarantee to get very large fish (also if you chop the hot dog in slices you'll still get pretty large fish) I've tried it. It works!
