Cosmic Star Heroine was on the fence for me then I realized it was made by Zeboyd Games and it was an instant buy. One of the best little developers. Their games never have the thing I hate most about rpgs. Grinding.
Live a live is getting a remake on the switch with 2HD sprites (similar to Octo traveler). Never played it, but when you recommend games, I know I'm in good hands
Hope you enjoy! It’s a great series. We plan on covering a lot of the older games in the weeks leading up to the Ys IX release at the beginning of February
No problem. We don’t have a video over that topic but maybe we’ll do one soon. Off the top of my head though some mecha JRPGs include Xenogears, Xenosaga 1-3, Xenoblade Chronicles X, the Super Robot Wars series, the Front Mission series, Sakura Wars, Zone of the Enders: Fist of Mars and sort of the Trails of Cold Steel games (some more than others)
Golden Sun is an unfinished Trilogy. Part 1 ends with a twist, which is the main plot of The Lost Age. The Lost Age ends with a twist as well and we never got a part 3. Dawn Dawn is sort of an epilogue, the story wasn't finished. Such a shame because Camelot's other 3 part JRPG (Shining Force 3) was best in scenario 3.
The Last Story - Honestly, I enjoyed this game more than Xenoblade, but it's only about 20 hours long so as a package Xenoblade is better. Still for this list, I'm surprised you missed it. Pandora's Tower is alright as well, solid 7/10. Fun gameplay but glitchy and generic plot. If it wasn't a project rainfall game I probably wouldn't think much of it.
These lists are being saved for future, I'm bored and wanna play a JRPG, where should I look. Oh perfect two amazing list of games I have played and some I haven't. No need to write my own personal list hahaha. Thanks! I loved Vanguard Bandits back in the day.
Parasite Eve! It can be beaten in less than 10hours and is a fun action jrpg. And the protagonist is female Cloud Strife!! Would love a remake with graphics like FF7R.
You can tell that this was before Live A Live actually came out for us in the west consider that you, one, mispronounce the name, and, two, said that it was probably the most obscure out of everything here. Yeah, not anymore. It is questionable though if Torna can really be on a list like this considering that you _really_ wanna play Xenoblade 2 first. Yeah, Torna itself isn't too long, but you do need to go through a long prerequisite to truly be able to "unlock" it. You could even argue a similar bit for Command Mission too. Should you play the other Megaman X games first?
Great video, by the way, what is the name of the game that appears on the intro (the one with a carácter that has an axe that looks like a dungeon crawler)?
In regards to undertale, I think the best way to play it the first time is like a normal RPG, and the second time through is when you want the pacifist route. That way you really appreciate the ending that much more. If you do the pacifist route first, it makes the other endings less exciting.
