I love beets, but not the juice. I mix 1/3 beet juice & 2/3 pomegranate juice. (any ounces you want to mix) Pomegranate juice is heart healthy, good for the veins.
I suffer from anxiety and my blood pressure it was very high i am.a young man but now i am.taking pills for anxiety and high blood pressure i am better and to pray helps a lot ❤❤❤
My BP always used to hover over 150/100. Iam also overweight and obese. since one month back I started brisk walking 45min twice daily morning and evening. And now my BP is back to normal range around 120/80 many times got even as low as 110/70. My suggestion is to focus on physical exercise and cut down sugar and high calorie foods and added salt. Be patient and persistent results will be good.
Congratulations and thanks for the advice. I received a new kidney 3 years ago and I'm trying to do better with eating and exercise, my BP has been pretty elevated😔
My blood pressure was 150/103 pretty consistently with the best ever being 140/92 The last several years. I only changed my diet and nothing else and added magnesium as a supplement eating avocados regularly making my own guacamole. Mostly keto. My blood pressure is 118/74 now and by the way I taken a huge amount of salt. I eat eggs regularly scrambled with about 50% salsa and 50% eggs.
@@alljerseysmatter. I taken more sodium than most people. My eggs that I scramble are about 30% salsa and I eat that pretty much every day and I add salt to most of what I eat. Salt seems to be largely irrelevant when it comes to blood pressure as long as you are getting plenty of potassium which salt depletes.
These fruits must be from the Caribbean! I see sugar apples, cashews with its fruit, small ripe bananas, golden apples, breadfruits, guavas. Absolutely beautiful!!!
Thank y so much doctor for this powerful information, these foods are my favourite ones...i've been with bp when i was 23years old ...but there's a great improvement since i started watching your videos...really helpful...may God bless you now and beyond❤❤❤❤❤❤
I like mostly green bananas (not plantains!) because I was told I not only get potassium but resistant starches. I like the taste of boiled potatoes better than baked, and was told that the boiled were also high in resistant starches (which I later heard that changes when I heat them again). As for baked potatoes I seem to need butter, and preferably shredded cheddar cheese, because they seem tasteless without them. I heard, long ago, that I should (and most often do) eat the peels with baked potatoes, but don't remember why. My 'significant other' does not like avacados, but I don't like sour cream, so at restaurants, we swap the guacamole and I just ask for no sour cream (allergy-like feeling in the back of my throat). I like chili beans (brown), and ham, small red potatoes, and green beans, but haven't given thought to the potassium issue with them. Thank you for a simple and straight-forward program.
My blood test just showed normal levels of potassium. However, I seem to need more so I take a few supplements a day to keep me functional at a good level. Without them I fall asleep mid-day. Love your videos I get them regularly. thank you.
New subscriber here! So impressed the way you shared all the good benefits of all kinds of food to help a high blood pressure in control. I’m one of those. From Jacksonville Florida 🇺🇸 🇵🇭
Im 62 yrs and like your channel but I take vitamin supplements instead coz Im leading a busy fulltime job.eating healthy foods but just not enough to manage and get through my work days.
Hi Evangeline, supplements are good. But they will never replace a healthy diet. Perhaps you can take time to prepare your meals in advance and take them to work with you.
Thanks sa info, for the 8 best food for the body we sre going to eat, everyday, like avocado, beans, kiwi, banana apple, camote, patatas, choose ns lang alin ang mabili mo. Salamat, me banana, basta everday, wslang money csnnot afford all.hehehe😆😎🙋☝

I just recently read that cocoa is good for lowering BP! I have no BP problem, but I certainly bought some Hershey's unsweetened cocoa to put on my oatmeal, ice cream or to drink! Mm mm mm!

Kale is very high in vitamin K, in other words, the vitamin that helps in the coagulation of blood. If you're suffering from high blood pressure, please don't consume kale! Or any greens high in vitamin K. Your blood is already viscous enough, hence the difficulty of it being pumped to all the parts of your body. Vitamin K makes blood even more viscous!
RU-vid video that can cause harm. If you have high blood pressure, if you take lisinopril side effect can be high potassium then you would want to limit that. And they should check that from time to time while you take it but dont always do.
I was prescribed lisinopril but the side effects were terrible. I took it only for two days and told my doctor to change it because I was not taking it anymore. I am on 25mg of losartan.
High potassium damage the kidney if that person has high blood pressure and kidney problems and diabetes too then should they can eat such high potassium foods?
I've been told to limit potassium. I can only have half a banana a day. If I have a banana, I can't have strawberries. I haven't been told I can't eat potatoes.
For years I kept to 2% milk and margarine instead of butter. But then came across info that lowering fat content is not a good idea. So I changed to full fat milk and butter and lost 30 lbs. Apparently eating full fat products like this helps the metabolism so you start burning the stored fat. So your comment on low fat milk is mistaken . Please check this information for changes . as new info becomes available on nutrition some of the old beliefs change, and this is one of them along with a belief about eggs and cholesterol. Another bit of info that has changed is taking calcium . This was highly promoted in the past but now can lead to clogged arteries given new info. I do appreciate the info about high potassium foods though . But many foods that are high in potassium don't even make these lists yet have more potassium than foods mentioned. One of these is buckwheat. It has a whopping 391mgs in 1/2 up! And it also is high in magnesium and fiber. Salt is another one as we do need salt . So the issue is not eating bland food but making sure salt intake is balanced with potassium!
I eat regularly all these foods except for Avocados which I hate. We eat more fish than meat and never fry. My doctor has just told me that my last blood test showed low potassium levels but my blood pressure was good. ?
Im 33 years old and diagnosed with hypertension stage 2...my first doctor gave me Amlodipine for maintenance but i didnt take it for i am so young for maintenance so i went to another doctor and and prescribe me with metoprolol for 30 days...while im taking those, i started to do exercise for just only 10 mins bcos my blood pressure was unstable..it may go up in an instance if i do such physical activities...while doing this, i only comsume green and leafy vegetables along with fruits and fish...low salt consumtion and minimize using oil in the food..thanks God, after 15days i stop taking those metoprolol..and now i got a normal BP, lastly i totally quit smoking because smoking can increase ur BP... discipline can help lower ur blood and back to normal
WHAT IS MOST IMPORTANT IS NO PACKAGED POISONED AMERICAN FOODS on this list. Everything here is great, except for 50% of us are Natural Carnivores (no to low carb) FAT FREE IS VERY VERY BAD FOR US, heavy whipping cream and butter IS VERY GOOD, WE NEED GOOD FATS AS WOMEN, especially organic butter. Remember 90% of all medical history and research has been done for MEN not for women.
As a retired ER physician I have to say you are spot on! Food as medicine! Reach for healthy food instead of a new prescription. Doctors never discuss this stuff!!
There's NO money to be made in promoting vegetables & yogurt. Let's just be brutally honest here. And these drugs they're pushing are killing us all!!! Look at the side effects from these chemicals!! I got a bleeding ulcer from CELEBREX. Talk to Gastros , see how common that is!!! 12-15 lbs of fluid from CARAFATE. Along with scary constipation 21 days, YOU try that!! My body didn't respond to anything I bought OTC & health food store. But when the manufacturer got so behind, I ran out, the pharmacy couldn't give a 3 day supply----- that's when I found out what that ulcer med was doing to me!! Still have the ulcer, just stopped the bleeding. And let's talk about what BP meds do to us. How long does everyone have for that???? This is a new prob for me. I think the variant I got exposed to from sum1 I know, (only had my booster 3 days) screwed me up bad. Ended up rushed to hospital ICU. ME a person who has had low to normal BP, BS CHL/TRY all my adult life. I'm going to get my health back!! Anything else is unacceptable to me!!
Tomatoes are rich in potassium. I also suggest drinking one or two 8 oz. cans of low sodium V8 juice on a daily basis. Low sodium, NOT standard V8 juice.
A water fast is fine, but you need potassium to regulate heartbeat. Just include enough fruits, veg, etc to get about 4700 mg of potassium a day. You would have to eat about 10-11 bananas to get that much. Most Americans do not get enough potassium in their diets.
Leading cause of HBP is stress. I’ve done everything, diet and workout related wise, it won’t drop. I was diagnosed with cptsd and live with chronic flight or fight. I’m convinced it’s stress, I’ve taken everything, hibiscus, l arginine carnitine, beets, olive leaf extract etc.. I also work out 6-7 days a week. The sodium thing is propaganda, it’s stress.
The problem with avocados is the only taste good for one day. You buy them slightly firm and then you hope that they're going to soften to the exact right softness without turning brown. How many of us go and buy an avocado or two and then we can never eat it because we just cut into it on the wrong day at the wrong time.
If eating that day or next day i put a little lemon juice in while mixing and it keps it from browning other wise mix it flatten it out in dish cover with a little water and it wont brown for a week or 2
I was on high blood pressure medication for 5 year. last year I started keto diet and intermit fasting. I lost 18 lbs and blood pressure fall back to normal without medication.
@@laizamthunzi3021 losing 18 lb was probably a big factor. Keto doesn't work for everyone but for those who respond well to a keto diet, it has amazing health benefits.
