@@user-hg3iv5hy3s yeah Fabian Frankel (Cole) is also just 30, they easily could have had two early 40 somethings and still show the romance/sex, like Cersei and Jaime... they did not pretend there. Nikolaj Coster-Waldau was around 40 at the time and Lena Headey at least in late 30s - which worked as Joffrey was the age that she could have had a child at. I suppose they didn't want to do another actor change in HOTD though. Jace and Rhaenyra also do not work age wise, although there is a but bigger age difference
Yes there is one you missed. The actor who plays Prince Jacaerys has a very London accent. He said he struggled with the royal accent and needed a dialect coach.

I love this show, the actors are really sublime, and if you're used to seeing them act out serious scenes, it can be surprising to see them joke around in their natural voices in interviews.

I agree! Her accent in the first season was all over the place. One minute she sounded British, next she sounded French, and occasionally a hint of Jamaican. I can understand wanting her to have a “mysterious” and hard to place accent but that was a bit much.
Derby is in the midlands not up north! Don’t get me wrong we’re definitely more north than south but the midlands is a place and that’s where Derby is.
I live near Tom and we went to the same secondary school, he sounds a lot more Northern when he's up here than in interviews. Mainly cause Southerners and Americans can't understand us
I can barely tolerate the Northern American accent. Down South, the women don't raise the pitch of their voices to a whiny screech. No insult. Upper England sounds more like posh Southerners. Not the farm ones. 😊 I'm Southern with Northern England and Scottish lowlands heritage. My fake Scottish accent sound authentic.

I think the White Worm is supposed to have a bit of a Patois/Caribbean accent. A bit of a weird one though. I also think Graham McTavish is just not fully speaking in his own Scottish accent in interviews because maybe he fears people won’t fully understand him lol.
So annoying whenever they try to have someone use this generic ‘eastern’ (in relation to Westeros) accent. It sounds so fake and forced, really breaks immersion for me
Have you ever heard a "strong Welsh accent"? Because i guarantee you the giy who plays actually speaks very slowly and articulately so that you can understand him. Welsh speak very fast and can be hard to follow
Sometimes casting a 27yo to play a 20yo can work. And sometimes, casting a 28yo to play a 34yo can work. What doesn't work is when those two are supposed to play son and mother. In Game of Thrones, Catelyn and Sansa really looked like mother and daughter. In House of the Dragon, I see Alicent and Helaena together and I don't even think they look related, let alone that one is the mother of the other.
How is that possible because some of these people speak completely differently. It's almost like saying Chinese and Japanese sounds the same. Even if you don't speak them, you can easily tell they do not. I'm not British and can hear each are clearly different. You're not listening at all.
I adore Olivia Cooke's real accent and personally? idgaf that she is far too young to be playing mother to her all growed up children in season 2, its ok, she makes everything she is in better
