I saw the 2001 storm here in west Texas and it was unbelievable! Thousands upon thousands of green fireballs in all fields of view casting shadows for hours on the very cold November night.

Great the U.K misses out on the eclipse again! I remember back in 1999 we had a full eclipse but i was 11 so didn't care i wish i saw it! When I was a kid there was a local TV weatherman who made very precise weather predictions 20 or 30 years in advance knowing that no one would ever bother to disconfirm them. This channel is starting to sound like him. Except, of course, the astronomical data is far more predictable. I'm interested in follow ups on RECENT SOU reports of a supernova in the Corona Borealis and the comet that is supposed to be pretty spectacular PRETTY SOON. You can kind of tell they're blowing smoke when they don't even attempt to describe the part of the sky in which the object will be visible. Did I miss the supernova?
