Prince👑 should at least be top 3 if not number one. Could out-sing and perform anyone listed. Of course Jimi was the predecessor and such an avant garde pioneer that it's hard to not make him number one. But the purple one's guitar chops are up there with the GOATs. Not a single style he was incapable of playing the hell out of.

I know I'm a few years late but, wasn't James Iha the Lead Guitar for Smashing Pumpkins? Yes, Billy played a lot of lead guitar and solos, and was an awesome guitarist, but he was never listed as the lead guitar for that group. James however, was listed as such.

Warren Haynes is by far one of the most prolific and accomplished singer/guitarist of the past 20 yrs,he is the complete pinnacle of every player mentioned here,his vocals and guitar skills are rank high in the history of music by his peers and the classic greats,sadly your list is incomplete without him at the top,,love your videos keep pumping out info

Hey Marty, I start playing in high school. Once I made the transition to University I stopped. I know all the notes from the lower E string to the higher E string ,the A, the D, the G, the B, the higher E. From Fret 1 to 12. However, I need to clarify for me or perhaps teach me how to move up and down the guitar neck without looking at it. You I an a fan of the late Chuck. I admire his style and above all the moves on stage.

Dave Meniketti from the somewhat obscure 80's rock/metal band Y&T is another excellent singer/lead guitarist. I've seen them twice and he never disappoints. He delivers those solos on point and his voice sounds better than both David Lee Roth and Sammy Hagar (his voice sounds similar to theirs).
