Hey arrow, I just wanted to say I love your videos, because they are so uniqe and fantastic ideas that just blow everyones minds!! I also love the fact you add amazing tiny and cute storys for every idea you come up with. Thanks for all your videos :)
i guess im asking the wrong place but does someone know of a tool to get back into an instagram account? I was stupid forgot the login password. I would appreciate any assistance you can offer me
To be honest, I think most levels are fine without bosses. If you are making a castle level, then boss fights are a real good idea. I am not against other bosses though. One thing I like to do when making bosses is make them releateivley easy and short compared to other levels. I don't want them tedious or difficulty spike. Good video, hope your channel grows!
To be honest, I think all themed levels need a boss fight as it helps enhance the theme of the level. Say it was based on piranha plants, make a boss about that
You’re giving me ideas on how to make boss battles. But, only a certain few talented creators can make every course having a boss, and always a good boss.
No not every course, cause when you make a traditional level its not always needed, Also 4 out of the 8 ideas "now its blocked by the on/off switch and luigi needs to go to the other side lol"
No, bosses even really cool ones break levels for me most times, however these setups are very creative, keep it up, I love you videos, they always inspire me to make levels!
Here’s another idea: Mario enters a castle which looks like Peach’s castle. However, it was actually a Bowser castle and a trap set by him. In this fight, Bowser gained wings and can fly around. To make Bowser fly around and stay upwards, we put him on a track. Mario is wearing a shellmet. In order to defeat Bowser, he will have to hit Bowser with the shellmet, which will cause him to lose most of his flying ability. He will then have to hit Bowser with the shellmet enough times, which will defeat him and allow him to escape.
I really dislike the "do this in order to escape the boss" type battles. Doesn't really seem like a boss fight, more like a survival chamber or something. At the very least the boss should be able to be beatable, and not just left behind or ran away from.
Here’s another idea: Mario goes underwater and thinks that he got away from all the bosses on land, but when he gets underwater, he ends up entering an arena where Bowser in inside a machine that shoots out angry wigglers that chase him. To defeat Bowser, Mario must continuously shoot him with the fire flower he gained. For some reason, the fire from the fire flower doesn’t get turned into smoke by the water. If Mario gets hit by a wiggler, a pipe will dispense another fire flower. Once he shoots Bowser enough times, he can get the key and escape.
Goddamnit I only have Mario maker 1 and most of these fights involve on/off blocks. Great video though! My favorite ones were the first and last one, and no not all levels should have boss fights.
I recently made a course where bowser junior travels to ice and fire worlds with castles but couldn’t decide what to make for a boss fight so thanks for the ice castle bowser junior idea
Here’s another idea: Mario enters a room where he gains a fire flower sees a long machine that Bowser is inside of, and the vehicle is covered in spikes and grinders. To defeat Bowser, Mario must continuously jump on top of the bullets shot by the cannons and shoot fireballs at Bowser through the downwards-facing one-way wall. To make his falls slower, Mario must swing his arms around, which will hold him in thin air for one second. After he shoots Bowser enough times, he gets the key and can escape through the door on the cloud block hovering above the vehicle.
Here’s another idea: Mario (who has eaten a lot of pasta and became big and fat) is kidnapped and brought to a room where Bowser is inside of a layer of brick blocks. To defeat Bowser, Mario will have to constantly jump on the bricks and grab a fire flower to defeat him. However, he will have to watch out for sideways springs on tracks that will occasionally push him off of the brick layer. Once he breaks enough bricks, he can grab a fire flower to defeat Bowser and escape.
Here’s another idea; Luigi wants to go on an Architectural Boat Tour and decides to get on a boat that looks like one. However, it was a trap set by Bowser! In this fight, there are two semisolid platforms on the sides, and Bowser is in a Koopa Clown Car that moves left and right and there is an unchained chomp attacked to the bottom of the Koopa Clown Car. To make this setup, we place three long tracks above each other, and put an unchained chomp on the bottom track, a Junior Clown Car on the middle track, and a Bowser on the top track. This will make Bowser look like he is in the Junior Clown Car. While the unchained chomp swings, Bowser shoots fire at Luigi. What Bowser didn’t realize though, is that there is a pipe that shoots bob-ombs which Luigi can throw at Bowser. Since enemies on tracks cannot have a key placed on them, the only way we can make it so that Luigi will have to defeat Bowser before exiting the boss arena is by placing a clear condition that requires us to defeat Bowser and placing the exit door in the air so that Luigi can’t go back into the boss area once he exits it. Once Luigi throws enough bob-ombs at Bowser, he is defeated and Luigi can escape the ship.
Here’s another idea: It’s nighttime and Mario goes to bed for the night. However, when he wakes up, he realizes that he is in an arena covered with frozen coins and Bowser is flying above in a Koopa Clown Car with a bill blaster full of bob-ombs attached to the bottom of it, and it’s evening in the morning. To make it look like it’s evening, we use the Super Mario World style, we select the snow night theme, we use the second form of the semisolid platform and use the semisolid platform to cover up the arena. To defeat Bowser, Mario must continuously throw the bombs up at Bowser before they blow up the ice. If the bombs blow up all of the frozen coins, the entire floor will turn into spikes that will prick him to death. Once Bowser is defeated, he can escape.
for the suicidal bowser bossfight you could also put bobombs at the side that will trigger p switches so you need to make sure bowser also doesn't die by fire also i don't think every level should have a bossfight as there are tons of levels where a boss would wreck it (music levels, automatic levels, speedrun levels)
Here’s another idea: Mario enters a room and falls into a Fire Koopa Clown Car, and sees that Bowser has gained wings and is flying around. To make Bowser look like he is flying around with his wings, we put him on a track. To defeat Bowser, Mario will have to constantly shoot him with the Fire Koopa Clown Car. Once Bowser is defeated, he can escape.
Here’s another idea: Mario enters a room and finds that a red Koopa is inside a jumping robot with P switches on top. There is also a bill blaster that shoots coins on the robot. In order to defeat the Koopa, he will have to jump on the P switches while the coins are still there. If he jumps on them with no coins in sight, then nothing will happen. But if he jumps on them while there are coins in sight, then the robot will deactivate and the Koopa will be imprisoned inside of it, and Mario can escape through the P-door.
Here’s another idea: Mario enters a tall tower and sees Bowser moving up in it in a Koopa Clown Car. To make this setup, we make a long track, we place a Koopa Clown Car at the bottom, and a giant Bowser at the top. Mario climbs up the tower until he gets to the top, and when he gets to the top, he starts throwing bob-ombs at Mario and Mario must defeat him with fire flowers.
Here’s another idea; Mario and Yoshi enter a pipe, and they find Bowser Jr. Since Bowser Jr has a red cannon on top of him, our dynamic duo won’t be able to jump on his head to damage him. The only way to defeat him is to have Yoshi swallow one of the fireballs Bowser Jr spits and spit it back at Bowser Jr. If Mario loses Yoshi, then another one will spawn from the pipe Mario just went through. Once enough damage is dealt, Bowser Jr is defeated and Mario and Yoshi escape.
Here’s another idea: Mario enters a door, and he falls into a Koopa Clown Car, and realizes that Bowser Jr. is flying backwards in his Junior Clown Car. Since Bowser Jr. will always run straight towards the player when in a Koopa Clown Car, we have to make him move backwards by placing him on a track and putting Bowser Jr on the top track and a Koopa Clown Car on the bottom track. Bowser Jr. will keep moving backwards and shooting fireballs until they get to the end, where the end goal is missing and Mario must defeat him to reach the end. Once he defeats Bowser Jr., he wins the fight and can jump on the flag pole.
I think you should mention the creators in the video.. They came up with this.. Also to have them at the timestamps part, and not a seperate thing underneath.. give those creators the respect they deserve...
Here’s another idea: Mario is kidnapped and brought to a room where a conveyor belt is pushing him towards a hungry piranha plant and a bully who is a mad scientist is inside a machine and is operating the conveyor belt. To win this battle, Mario mush continuously push himself towards the mad scientist bully and constantly hit the on and off switch. Once he hits it enough times, the bully will be killed, the machine will deactivate, and Mario can escape.
I love the twist at the end. I think that if the level is not in a series then it should! But if it is, then the last level in the series should. (For the levels in the middle the series, I think that they should alternate between a level having a MINI BOSS, then a level not having a MINI BOSS. (Or did I put to much thought into this?)
