Resin is completely non toxic. It is a skin irritant though and about 20% of people do develop a skin allergy to it.

Different epoxies are made for different things. In the molds a ‘casting’ epoxy/resin is a good idea bc it’s thinner & lets bubbles escape.. and then afterwards a ‘doming’ epoxy/resin is used. It’s possible to use the same one for doming but it needs to sit a long while so it thickens up or it will run over the edges. She makes it look really easy but it takes a lot of practice to get to that point. Painting the pieces with liquid latex (and let it dry) on the sides & bottom and then doming them, is another way to do it without worrying about drips.. after the doming cures just peel off the latex. There is a ‘surface tension’ that keeps the doming resin from dripping but one drop too much and it falls over the edge .. it is an experience thing. Practice is the key ✌️

Try putting a small amount of resin in the mold then place the flowers on it and once it has hardened or even tacky put more resin on it to finish
