Michelle, I love Padlet, but have not used it in a few years. I really like how versatile it is and how it helps students collaborate. Thank you for sharing your strategies! I love that your channel has so many tech tutorials that I can return to whenever I need inspiration or a refresher. You rock! Have a wonderful week! 💜
Thank you so, so much Mandy! You're so sweet! I'm with you... Padlet is so versatile and students love using it! I'm so happy you've found my content helpful and I hope you have a WONDERFUL week as well! 🥰🖤
As always a great video! I’ve had to use padlet before for various meetings, but it’s not something I’ve used in the classroom yet. Now I have some ideas on how to use it in my class! Thanks as always for dedicating your time to helping teachers! I’m a much better teacher since I discovered your channel! Have a great week!
Thank you so, so much as always! Padlet is great for adults in meetings but my students always LOVED it as well! Thanks for taking the time to watch, comment, and offer feedback every single week... your kindness does not go unnoticed! 🥰🖤
Great explanation as always of USEFUL ways to upgrade. That slideshow feature is a game changer! I will definitely be using that for Back to School night or open house!
Great info as always Michelle! I love the google drive integration. I am 100% percent in agreement that pineapple belongs on a pizza! It does taste good! It isn’t my go to (traditionalist with mushrooms has been my go to lately). I am a a fan of polls and think padlet gets it right with their setup of polls!
Hi Russell! Thank you so much and I'm happy to know that you like good pizza 😂 I love so many different kinds of pizza... ham and pineapple is fantastic but I also love a good sausage and mushroom! Thanks for tuning in and commenting as always! I hope you have a great week ahead! 🎉
Woohoo! I'm happy you want to use Padlet in your virtual teaching! It's perfect for that! For assessments, you can use Padlet to have students respond to questions or create their own displays of learning. For example, at the end of a science lesson on collisions and how energy is transferred, I split students into groups and had each group create a Padlet to share what they learned as a form of assessment. Students created videos, audio files, drawings, etc. to demonstrate their knowledge and added them to a Padlet which they presented to the class. But, you can also create a separate Padlet for each student and it can become a virtual portfolio to store various assessments (which you can add as files from Google Drive, pictures of their work, etc.). Hopefully that helps!
HI there, with polls it doesnt seem to be private. As soon as someone votes they can see how others voted. Is there a way that I can make it private? I would love to use it to collect feedback from families.
Hi Jeri! When you say "teach the redefinition and modification levels of the SAMR model on the elementary classroom"... do you mean actually teaching what those levels mean to students (because I don't think that's necessary) or do you mean actually using technology in those way with elementary students?
Hi Michelle (yes to pineapple on pizza!)!. I am about to start using Padlet in my virtual teaching (Carbon Literacy to an adult market). One activity I have is for the learners to put some statements in order of occurrence re: the Greenhouse effect (each statement is written on a post). Once they have done that, can I reveal the answer on the same padlet?
Another great video with new tips and hacks! One question that I can't seem to find the answer to, do you know a way to lock the padlet so after a lesson, even though you want students to still be able to view it, they won't be able to mess around on it???
