Upside-down O's are used in Australia. In the UK, they are mirror-inverted.

As a start, the name of this show is a combination of two shows, Nine out of Ten Cats (show one) and Countdown (show Two). Nine out of Ten Cats did a Xmas show mimicking Countdown, and it was brilliant and stuck around. Something like that anyway.

The original TV show is 8 out of 10 cats......Hence 8 out of 10 cats does countdown ....The 9 is a mistake I would guess...

9 out ten cats is taken from advertisement for a brand of Cat Food ,the strap line was " Nine out of Ten Cats Love Whiskers" .It may have another brand of Cat food I can't remember ❤❤

I did the first one differently. 25+75-7=93. 93x10=930. 930-7=923. giving myself a pat on the back lol

I didn't get it, but it's a good example of working backwards as a strategy. there was a 10 & the 7 would alter the target to a multiple of 10, giving a sub target of 93.

When you have a 10 and the total is something like 923, try and get to 93 or 92, so you can multiply it by 10 so you're closer. It's a good way to solve a lot of the ones that are in the 8 or 900s because you can leap straight within 10, then hopefully you've got something like 7 or 8 to subtract/add etc. Won't always work but useful to bear in mind.
