The Toyota Hiace does a great job of hauling people around - no doubts there. But you know what a Hiace is really missing? A twin turbo, fire breathing v6 from a GTR. Said no one ever. But really, we're ALL about the ridiculousness of this build. A Nissan VR38 (pulled straight from a R35 GTR) isn't necessary for people hauling at all, but it sure is necessary for our general interests of automotive awesomeness. Through some clever fab work and sheer determination, this just became one of our favorite Toyota Hiace-es ever.

Hiace comes with 2.7 or 4.0 V6 and even a 2.8 diesel is available in Mexico though, even the Hilux and Fortuner is available too. But the weird part on their line up is the Avanza, a South East Asian mpv thingy and the real succesor of Yaris sedan and hatch, other than the Maza 2 rebadge, which is available on S.E.A too.

40 years ago my friend at work had 6 kids under 25, he also had a 1962 vw 23 window microbes that had done 400.000km as a rental he rebuild it with an 1830 vw motor while looking for a better motivation, this came a year later when he found a "genuine 454 ls6 Chevy motor that came out of a ocean racing boat it was blue printed and dynod out at 490 hp at 5900rpm " 40 years ago" this van with power glide and 8" diff could reach 95mph in first gear 0-- 60 in 4.3 seconds 14 miles per gallon (12 mpg with vw and 8 people on board, also did 14mpg also towing an 18 caravan
