I understand your view however, people in the system and especially in the US sometimes make a plea like that as they are innocent and may be facing a much longer sentence. Why in the prosecutor offering the deal? Sometimes it’s because his case is weak and he would rather get something than nothing! Rape is a good example of plea deals. Word v word no real evidence but there is a risk the jury take the complainer side over the mans. You would get 20 years in ten US in some states. However, plead guilty to a misdemeanour sexual assault and you get 4 years which is probably time served all ready. That can be a very tempting for the innocent man!

Facts. At least until ALL of her kids have reached adulthood and are old enough to understand how bad what their mom did to them was. I also think her husband needs investigated too because I just don’t buy that he didn’t know when a large portion of the internet was constantly calling her out for her abusive parenting practices that we saw/heard about in her videos.

Did you not watch the the Shanda Vander Ark trial in Michigan last week, same type of torture her son died of torture and starvation, Shanda was a lawyer. This isn’t a Utah thing it happen all over the country.

She doesn't want to have to give the real reason why she did it. I think RF was doing something or rather having something done to him by a neighborboy. Neither of her kids have gone through puberty. Its way more likely someone did something to them not them doing something to someone else. And if they were doing anything with each other I dont see why there would be others. I think they tortured "confessions" out of the kids in order to cover up the gay conversion or suppression. Basically the women never stop demanding them to repent for something to the point they are making stuff up or drawing on really old memories. RF was the only one kicked and deprived of oxygen. That to me implies EF was punished for supporting her brother.

Actually its only What she is alleged to have done, We don't know for certain yet although her pleading guilty and taking a deal seems to suggest that she did something wrong and the State had solid evidence. If what is alleged is true I agree. with you for sure. Take care, God bless!

Julie and Landon provided a safe and welcoming home for Shari. It is easy to jump to conclusions when you don’t know all the facts. My heart goes out to the children and relatives. I can’t imagine living through all of this and in the public eye as well.

I get what you’re saying, but she is still pleading guilty to for the charges, which Carrie one to 15 years each and all her sentences will run consecutive and after hearing everything from another channel I highly doubt the judge is only gonna give her one year on each charge

@@pipermccool what are you talking about? Obviously you didn’t watch the entire hearing because she’s getting sentenced on February 20th and all her sentences will run consecutive as in one after the other, they will not run concurrently

@@pipermccool Regardless, even if she took this to trial and put those kids through more trauma than they’ve already been through, she still for each charge would only get between one up to 15 years

@@tammyirwin7031 and 7.5 years because they are consecutive and Utah has a max aggregate of 30 years.

Her lawyer knew that wasn’t a defense strategy that could be taken, based off her own admissions and video evidence of abuse, with Jodi no where to be found and Ruby completely in control.

That's how plea deals work. She gets off easy as long as she testifies against her partner in crime, Jodi Hildebrandt. She'll get a reduced sentence for her cooperation and admittance of guilt. And all the dark details won't be brought to light because the other side doesn't have to prove she did anything. She's still focused only on herself and saving her own butt as best she can.

I'm sure the other one is going to fight it it's all going to come out eventually!

They probably looked up to them because the kids behaved and they were younger parents, merely impossible right , easy to make things look perfect on camera , I think the obvious signs weren’t till later when she let her daughter not have lunch as a lesson of some sort

She pled guilty to 4 counts and the minimum is 1 year per count consecutive. So, she's looking at a minimum of 4 years, but hopefully this judge won't be light on her and will give her at least ten years!

Under the guidance of a counselor that she was sent to under the guidance of the LDS Church, she committed horrible acts of child of child abuse. This was all done through an LDS approved and recommended therapist. I want to repeat that. The LDS church sent her to therapist who told her to abuse her children. That is exactly what she did. But there are accounts of abusive behavior before she even went to this particular counselor. That's who Jodi is, Jodi is the abusive counselor You will be hearing more about her.

I watched Hidden True Crime read some what was done. It's really bad. She tortured the kids.
