Great video Folkert. Is this your favourite place to birdwatch or are there better places in Holland? The more species the better with same rarities is what I would like because I want to visit Holland to to birdwatch next spring. Many thanks and I am from England.
Yes it is my favorite area on the mainland, but birding on one of the wadden isles: Schiermonnikoog or Vlieland might even be better, especially during fall migration. The Netherlands offers a lot of cool places to go birding. It depends on what birds you would like to see the most. In the Lauwersmeer you won't find typical forest species like Crested Tit, Willow Tit, Black- or Middle Spotted Woodpeckers.
