Really helpful information. Thanks so much! Sometimes my locs are hard but I've noticed that they soften up whenever I shampoo and use a rinse out conditioner. Also, I often don't drink enough water so dry locs remind me to ramp it up!🥰

Great information. Thanks so much. I love Sauve clarifying shampoo. I mist periodically with distilled/rose water mix or distilled water/tea tree oil mix. They both leave such a fresh fragrance.

This is GREAT content! Pass the plate bcz that was a preach/teach hunty👏🏽👏🏽 My consultant (God love her) had me dry out the gate and I came color treated red at install. I was at 18 mths and she kept telling me no moisture even when I asked for SL reconstructer. Whew my locs were parched and started snapping. When I moved to FL a few mths ago I KNEW I had to do something so I started using Basic leave in condish and hair oil to my scalp and bam it so much better but I have to pay now to have those locs repaired.

So for me, the reason my hair was dry was because of blow drying. ( I was using a hooded dryer attachment and everything!) Unfortunately, it's absolutely a necessity that I blow dry because it's currently cold in state where I live. The way I remedied this was by using a conditioner on wash day and by blow drying my hair to slightly damp and letting it air dry the rest of the way. Do you have any tips to blow drying completely dry but where the hair still feels supple afterward?

What’s the best shampoo and conditioner to use for locs that I can find in beauty supply stores?

I am honestly not the best person to ask. I've only used SL products and salon products on my locs. I really didn't get to play in other products like that with my locs. But my clients rave about Taliyah Wajeed brand so that's something to consider.

Hi Pauline, my sisterlocks feel like Brillo pads. The cuticles feel raised and rough. I noticed a change in texture after putting on a rinse to cover grays. I shampoo every 2 weeks using sisterlocks shampoo and use a spray bottle with rosemary and jojoba oil. Help please.
@EnToiBeauty
@EnToiBeauty 2 года назад
Hey, so color does loosen the texture a bit and raises the cuticles. Are you completely locd? If so, shampoo your hair with a moisturizing shampoo and conditioner. This is one of my faves (amzn.to/3na0BR9). The spray mixture you use it fine, I would just make sure to use distilled water instead. Hope this helps.
