The best fragrances based on the number of times Courtney smelled them in the video : 1. Abercrombie & Fitch Fierce : 9 times 2. Polo Red : 5 times 3-4. YSL La Nuit De L'homme & CH Prive : 3 times 5-6. Dolce & Gabbana The One (EDP) & Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male : 2 times 7. Prada Luna Rossa Black : 1 time 8. Maison Margiela Jazz Club : 0 time She certainly smelled them more off-screen ^^
@@SirRobbins Sadly, that happens so often and ruins the wearing experience for a lot of guys trying to rock an older fragrance. Several of my favorites are oldies... like I *LOVE* CK Obsession for men (vintage formula is best, but even modern formula rocks). That is seriously an old fragrance, but it just smells so good! I just wear what I want to, because in the end, I wear it for me. If you want to attract the girls, and not necessarily the COUGARS (LOL!!), then wear something more modern. Otherwise, wear what you want.
Calvin Klein Obsession. Been wearing it longer than you’ve been alive. They’re still making it because it’s just so good. Women love it, and it stays with me all day. Not all fragrances stay with me all day but boy this one does
@@jacktaylor9290 The house in this context can talk and is the one looking for buyers. The analogy makes more convinced that i should be lisening to dating advice from women rather than men. (mostly)
Courtney, I have three fragrances that are more budget friendly (not cheep but over looked) and I have never had any complaints. These three each last 4-6 hours on skin, 8-10 hours on cloths, and takes 10-20 minutes for the true scent to set in after application. 1) Couch Blue: By far the most effective of the three as well as the softest and near impossible to over-spay. It has that Je Ne Sais Quoi quality. 2) CK Shock: Definitely a warm weather fragrance best suited for walking down the street, morning coffee, and happy hour. 3) American Crew Classic: The one I use when I'm my most sigma male mood, that classic Don Draper smell that isn't trying to impress anyone. It's everything Old Spice advertises itself to be but never lives up to, I use this after a really long day at work and I need a little pick me up before going out and being social. I would love to hear you opinion on these and thank you for all your videos.
I'm pretty clueless when it comes to style, fashion, and fragrance, so these videos are a godsend. Getting not only an expert's opinion, but a woman's perspective on these things is immensely helpful. Thank you so much, Courtney!
Courtney, you and Teddy have absolutely *ruined* me by getting me into fragrances! 😂 Before you two, I had one that I would wear twice a year at most. Now I have 13 and I have to think about what I'm going to wear every day. Not gonna lie, it's fun. 😅 Thanks for helping me level up in a bunch of ways!
I bought Prada Luna Rosa Black because of this video and I get so many compliments and comments on it. Multiple different women have said I smell intoxicating.
The one that I have which seems to get me the most compliments including from my gf, is Mancera Red Tobacco. This one is smoky and sweet as well to help tone down the smokiness a bit, and my God is it great. It is pretty strong so you'll have to tone down the number of sprays a bit, but it lasts at least 16 hours or so. 😄 Edit: Hey, Courtney. Would you consider doing a video on some of the most underrated mens fragrances for those of us who want to smell different from the crowd?
red tobacco is dangerous...in both good and bad ways. It's gonna get a lot of compliments, but it's also going to get so many people that hate it and think it's disgusting. I'd actually recommend avoiding Oud/tobacco types of vanilla scents and instead go with a much nicer and simpler vanilla scent. There's plenty of lovely vanilla scents out there if you really want something with tobacco there's always Jazz club that's basically in this list anyway so no need to add red tobacco if you got jazz club in this list
Personally I like it the red tobacco as it has shisha flavor scent but the opening is very harsh and can be headache inducing to others and not many would appreciate it however it’s the dry down that’s great! I suggest spray it atleast 30 mins in advance if you’re meeting someone by the time it hits the dry down and limit your sprays
Courtney, I’m a fragrance enthusiast. Fierce was my go to from my high school and college years. I got many compliments from women. D&G the one smells amazing.
I’ve been wearing YSL La Nuit Del Homme a lot lately, the fall and winter climate is usually the best time to wear this fragrance. The dry down is fantastic. This past summer I wore JPG Le Male a lot, so light and inoffensive, excellent fragrance 😊
I wear La Nuit de L'Homme as my day/office fragrance and CH Men Prive as my date night fragrance. Both are excellent and compliment getters even though CH Men Prive is relatively unknown in my region...
Some of those were affordable also, while you were recommending them I checked on the prices from my Walmart app , some are even on sale , one thing with those bottles , keep them away from light and heat for longer potency
I get great results with Bath and body Works fragrance black tie. They only release it around Christmas time so I have to buy extra but I get the best response with this fragrance.
Happy Sunday, Courtney! Keep posting more videos of men cologne since I do enjoy this topic so I can smell good for myself when I buy cologne. The Jean Paul Gaultier I have had and it's a good cologne and I would buy again in the future and I also have had the Abercrombie and Fitch cologne and I would buy again in the future. The colognes that I have are: 1. Lacoste Essential 2. Chaumet Homme 3. Perry Ellie 360° Black 4. Pure Fuel Pour Homme 5. Bed Bath and Beyond Clear Horizon 6. Jaguar Classic Black 7. Cool Ocean 8. Bleu De Chanel 9. Express Legend 10. Soul Curve Pour Homme
Thanks so much for uploading this Courtney! Turns out I’ve actually been needing to see a video like this for a while. It really helps out honestly. As always, keep up the great content!
From your fragrance videos, I have used Jean Paul Gaultier Le Male (for everyday Spring and Summer or just when it is warm out for Pittsburgh), Viktor and Rolf Spicebomb (for everyday Fall or Winter or when it is cold), and Baccarat Rouge 540 (for special occasions like big dance events or anywhere that I would really like to attract a nice girl). I have received compliments on all of these scents from women that I have met. I can't thank you enough for the recommendations, Courtney! I am hoping one of these will be the lure of that Miss Right some day soon.
I've never worn cologne in my life but I wear Old Spice deodorant. Women must be at least okay with Old Spice because the stuff's still selling. I like it because it evokes the first couple years I shopped for Christmas gifts for my family as a boy. I bought Old Spice and Drakkar Noir cologne for my father, who has never worn cologne is his life, either, I don't believe. The bottles sat in the upstairs hall closet my entire childhood; Dad never wore them but I would occasionally open the bottles and smell them. They remained there until my sister cleaned out the house after my mother died.
On your recommendation here I recently bought the Maison Margiela's Jazz Club and I must thank you for it. It really is the masculine scent I've been looking for for quite some time. It's very, very nice indeed, very high quality.
This is great... I've been making my own soap (cause I'm a weirdo with too much time on my hands) and now I'm going to try to make something that mimics rossa black (or one of the other fragrances) naturally. Thanks Courtney

I came across a fragrance a few months ago called Ikon 910 EDP. Good price, great smell & not overpowering. I had a woman come up to me when I was out with friends just to tell me how great I smelled. Dior Sauvage EDP gets a lot of compliments too. A budget friendly way to get a collection quickly is to buy a few 10ml sample sized EDPs of your favourite scents from eBay. If it doesn’t come in a spray, get a 10ml atomiser (from eBay too) to decant it into & you can get over a hundred sprays from just one bottle. You can build a small collection for the price of one full sized EDP bottle. It’s a great way to test fragrances also. Just don’t put on too much. A little goes along way.
I definitely dig the Prada Black, great blind buy if you don't have it, something you'll definitely be glad to have, also have the Polo Red that I havent touched in years but maybe worth a shot to try out again...Aqua Di Gio, Bleu De Chanel, and Chanel Homme Sport should be on there as well...
I'm new to fragrances. So, this video is much appreciated. I don't really watch your videos even though I'm subscribed but I'm watching this. I want more fragrance videos!
Maison Margiela jazz club. Thanks lady. I was curious and bought. It's fantastic. Now if only I'd go out bars or dates even. But at least I smell nice. That's nice. That's nice.
I'm a big fan of Sedar/Sandalwood with a hint of tobacco smelling scents. When me and my ex broke up last year she took all of my cologne and rode of with my bottle Yellowstone Ride. Those little 3oz bottles aren't cheap
I don't think these are really necessary to come across as "better" since that's subjective. Just like how I have, as a guy, on rare ocassions smelled these scents which hardly anyone uses where I live, and to my nose, the smells are nauseating even after a few minutes of non-stop inhalation on a crowded bus/train. I mean sure the guy smells nice...so what? Honestly I believe when women smell a new fragrance, what likely runs through their minds is "he can afford it, he has money and that's attractive" without considering the possibility it was just a gift from a friend or relative, in which case, is that a turn off? Surely hope not, since I think most guys find women that are shallow/not worth the squeeze are typically the ones that care more for what a man has than what he is. Fragrance is just a luxury item, not a cure for stupidity for guys that are already morons. Who wants to date a nice-smelling idiot? If frangrances are such a turn on, date and compliment the one who makes it, not the one who wears it
I'm not into fragrances. Call me generic, but my go to has always been CK One, mainly because I like the scent and also because my wife likes it on me. I'm more of a citrusy kind of guy and don't like scents that smell too musky. That's just my preference.
YESS, I love these videos, need more things like these, not just fragrances. books that women want you to read, activities that women love you do, etc etc. Need all these info
Yea yea yea... ice cream flavour that women want you to have, Food and edibles that women want you to have... The mobile phone that women want you to have... what car do women want you to drive....
I have 10 fragrances I wear. My wife and I disagree on which in my collection is #1 (she says Tom Ford Ombre Leather, I say Layton), but we agree on #2, that being D&G The One EDP. It's one of four fragrances I label as forever fragrances for me. I own and enjoy La Nuit de L'homme as well, but also have (and prefer) La Nuit de L'homme Bleu Electrique.
I would recommend 2 fragrances for men who just want one or 2 fragrances in their lives: Missoni Wave for hot weather Montblanc Individuel for cooler weather The reason I recommend these 2 is that they have a muted sweetness, they are fresh, they are long-lasting, they go very well dressed-up as well as dressed down and they are budget friendly if you shop from discounters
@@natantitelbaum6061 no.. Individuel has a fresh-sweet raspberry opening with some green touches and dries down to a fresh vanilla with a creamy sandalwood, while Wave is a creamy white floral with mute sweetness and a touch of citrus
Nice selection Courtney, there were some I didn't know, I suggest you try the traditional Azzaro. It´s my favorite, classic winter perfume and it´s not very popular. Greetings from Argentina 😊
Some reccomendations from me coming in here too at a decent price. Gucci - Guilty for men Paco Rabbane - Invictus or One Million Dior - Sauvage (everyone im sure has had this at some point) Carolina Hererra - 212 for Men Diesel - BAD or Only the Brave (2 great aftershaves and both are relatively cheap ciompared to other frangrances)
I just ran out of cologne in the last 2 days and was planning to buy new ones on my next day off--this could not have come at a more perfect time! As I have no idea what I'm doing cologne shopping, I am exceedingly grateful for a woman's perspective--THANK you 😁
D&G The One EDP is a great evening/date night fragrance. Chanel Bleu de Chanel EDP is a great all around fragrance. Those two could be a great two fragrance collection for a guy.
Nice video! Glad to see you're not afraid to recommend an older fragrance! I'm a lot older than you, and open to new things--want to know a lot more about oud frag's--but my favorite fragrance is still Dior Higher Energy from the mid 90's. I also agree that many older fragrances stay popular for a reason, mainly that they smell really great! Keep up the good work!
This videos great honestly. I was trying to find a different perspective of what colognes smell good and I’m glad 2 of my routine colognes get the stamp of approval I’ll keep them. Maybe the dolce does have something special cuz whenever I wear it my class crush sits next to me. I’m glad to know dolce actually smells good and it’s not one of those smells that only the buyer likes.
There is no woman appealing fragances ranking without the Acqua Di Gio line and all its flankers! I own the Profumo and Profondo and both of them are a compliment magnet, absolutely everyone love them
Thank you. I tried Luna Rossa Black last week in frag store. It has sweet notes that I am not a fan of. I also tried Jazz Club and love it. Le Male I like it. Eros edp I am not fan of, but surprisingly many girls love it 😊 The One edp, A&F Fierce and YSL LNDL, I am ok with them. Never tried Polo and CH 😊
Courtney, a problem with men's fragrances is that if you live in a place like Florida, like I do, fragrances have a nasty habit of attracting flies. Because of this I stopped wearing fragrances. Same goes for hair sprays and after shavelotions, etc. But I'll be the first to tell you that a perfume on a woman that she can establish as her calling card can turn many men into one of Pavlov's dogs. Damn, that is just so wicked !!
The Luna Rossa Black is legit. I bought it based on your recommendation. When I first smelled it in the store I wasn't sure, but bought anyway. Now I love it so much I wear it daily.
I recently got into wearing a fragrance. I purchased some Fahrenheit Parfum after doing some research. I like the fact that it's not over powering. Great video I do appreciate getting a woman prospective on colognes.
Hi Courtney, your videos have helped me a lot to improve my dating game. Your recommendation on Prada Black was spot on, but even better is Prada Ocean a new fragrance…everyone that smells it really likes it. Keep up your good work!
My most complimented fragrance by ladies and men is Armaf club de nuit intense limited edition edp. Though all my fragrances are labeled as "compliment beasts " nothing gets close to CDNI! I always get stopped and asked by strangers what I'm wearing, and the compliments are unhinged. "You smell amazing! What is that?" Is the sort of reaction I get from the ladies (whom are complete strangers). My personal favorites though are Silver mountain water from Creed. My wife calls it "sex in a bottle ". And D&G the one edp, which My wife also adores because I was wearing it on the first time we met in person.
Even people who are into fragrances won't fault you for this list. They work for a reason. I would add 2 more: Givenchy Gentleman, both the EDP Boisée and the Reserve Privée flankers, have also gotten me a lot of compliments. My favourite of the 2 is Reserve Privée but only by a hair.
Totally agree with you on those. It was difficult to even find a bottle of Gentlemen Reserve Prive for quite awhile. Once I got it (actually two bottlew - lol) I've really used it a lot. Love the Boozy iris smell.
I would change le male to le male le parfum as it’s the modern version and from ysl La nuit de l’homme to bleu electrique version as it performs better! The rest are amazing! Haven’t tried polo red yet!
Tommy Bahama Maritime; I have never gotten more compliments on cologne than this. I also can work an 8 to 12 hour day and still have the scent of it on me.
I wore CH Men Privé in my last date, and you can say I got lucky for a first date. It also lasted till the morning when she told me she loved how I smelled. But again, it's not the fragrance that got the job done, it will always be you being an assertive, considerate man who will win the girl over. Go to the gym brothers. Let's be better everyday. And fragrances will only be a compliment to your personality
AF Fierce has actually been going up in price…. I’d go with Mont Blanc Legend or Legend EDP… They are both cheaper than Fierce right now on the discounters.
Currently I'm using "D'amaris Solea" awesome thing. But I also have several different STR8 and a bottle of La Rive. So far Ive received positive vibes from the ladies.
Totally agree with your list, the CH prive I've never smelled,I'm not sure you can find that anymore etc?but yes all the mentioned frangrances you can't go wrong with, thanks,Tulsa, Oklahoma here.
I have absolutely no clue about a half the terms the OP was talking about, but that makes it more interesting. What I do know that scent and application depends on individual body chemistry which is something most of us Jimmy Lunchboxes will at be at Sea with.
Thanks again Courtney! I shared your channel with a few people with regards to the dating scene. I told them that you are unbiased and have the ability to see through nonsense with a sense of humor at times when necessary.
Xeryus Rouge by Givenchy is my #1 complemented fragrance. When women smell it on me, they always say I smell so good. It is hard to find, I'm not sure if they still make it. Released in 1995, Xeryus Rouge for Men is a sharp, oriental, woody fragrance. It has top notes of bergamot, fougere and lemon, middle notes of amber, melon and orange and base notes of kumquat, pimento and cedar.
It has been a while, since either you or Teddy have the done a fragrance video, welcome back. Most of the fragrances are indeed popular now, but the one that I have been wearing recently that is a conpliment getter is Tom Ford's Beau de Jour...extremely classy scent and great when dressed up.
As an older guy (50+) and I like to wear Versace Dylan Blue. I feel like it is a clean subtle scent. I used to wear Armani Sport as my go to but find Blue more age appropriate. I will need to try some of the ones you recommended.
Yes, I would like to see a video on niche fragrances. My three main date fragrances are: Hanae Mori for men, Bvlgari Pour Homme Soir, and John Varvatos Dark Rebel Rider.
All these recommendations are great! Personally, I use the Santal and Cologne Grand Luxe from Fragonard, they are not very expensive at all and they both smell great. Although I will say if you don't like sandalwood then don't get them and the Grand Luxe does start out kind of strong but give it a little bit and it mellows out nicely.
Last time I went fragrance shopping at TJ Max all the men's scents were garbage, but I found one female perfume that I liked, Stardust Kiss, so I got it. I've gotten MANY compliments from women on it, and even a few from straight men.
I kind of feel like polo red is underappreciated. I've worn on dates before and was told it smells really good. It was my first cologne to my collection, and only got it because it was this one girls favorite.
Cold season: Dior Homme EdP, Chanel Antaeus, Guerlain Habit Rouge EdT Warm season: Acqua di Parma Colonia Essenza EdC, Bvlgari Aqva Amara (discontinued unfortunately), Terre d'Hermès EdT, Prada L'Homme EdT Most women like to smell Chanel Allure Homme Sport Eau Extrême on a guy, but i downright hate it.
Hi Courtney! Thanks for a great channel. Can you make a video about how to get a girl to open up more, please? It seems like I always - or at least very, very often - end up in situations where I am asking the questions, they respond and that´s it. Short answers and they never share, open up or occassionally just ask a question back to me even if I am trying to share some things from my life. I have been really depressed about this and I am going crazy by how girls always seem to be the super chatty with guys they are talking to (their friends, co-workers, boyfriends or whoever they know). It really takes a toll on the confidence. No matter how much I have spoken to the girl before, I have to initiate every new conversation with them. Sometimes it feels like it´s getting harder and harder to to find the motivation to start new conversations with girls in general when there really is very little effort on their part. Thanks!
1. Spicebomb Extreme (ULTIMATE fall/winter fragrance) 2. Paco Robanne 1 Million (affordable, sweet club fragrance) 3. Aqua Di Gio Profumo (excellent for spring/summer) 4. Bleu De Chanel (pricy but most versatile) 5. Versace Dylan Blue (gateway fragrance) Dylan Blue should be the fragrance you start off with if you want to get into fragrances but don't wanna pay a lot. It's relatively cheap and is as versatile as Bleu de Chanel. Gets plenty of compliments and lasts all day/night. I would recommend D&G The One as well but it doesn't last long enough. Brilliant scent but after only a couple hours is barely even a skin scent. 😔
I swear we have the same taste in men’s fragrance. My favorite date fragrances are Prada Black, Jazz Club or La Nuit D’Lhomme. I grew up wearing Fierce even though it didn’t really fit my “skater boi” style, but the girls in class always loved it and I still wear it from time to time. Also, I remember you saying in another video that you love Versace’s The Dreamer as a bedtime scent and I had already been using that as my bed spray for a while so I was like YES! She gets it. 🤙 Anyways, one other fragrance that always gets positive reactions from women for me is Mont Blanc Explorer.
