I had the huge pleasure of attending a taping of one of the episodes. Not only was John (and the rest of the cast) hilarious, but John made it his mission to make sure everyone in the audience was comfortable, informed about what was going on, and kept entertained between takes and scenes. He made us feel like we were an integral part of the show. I remember feeling like I was kicked in the stomach when news of his passing went public.
You have no idea how much I envied you... This was one of the better sitcoms ever and I regret not having seen it when it was on TV. Also loved James Garner and David Spade in their scenes together. And the girls were great too, interacting brilliantly with each other unlike that Two Broke girls debacle... a display of poor acting... But this... nothing but joy...
That’s so beautiful. Live productions are like the pique of production and.. fuck. john ritter was so effortlessly skillful. so happy for your memory 💖
I'll never forget a interview Katy segal did after John ritter passed She said if you look at any out takes of the show all you will see is me laughing with John ritter
John Ritter was taken before his time. Imagine if he didnt die and 8 simple rules would've gone on. I miss him he was funny and a real guy, i think of him everyday a true star
I can see it now. It would've gone (hopefully) into the Obama era and John might've had guest appearances on Big Bang Theory as Penny's dad. He would go from acting to producing and would eventually win an Oscar or an Emmy for said category
@@cooperminion825 I often wonder how long this show would’ve ran if John didn’t pass away. My guess is 6 seasons because I don’t want to be too optimistic. A lot of shows struggle with the jump when the kids graduate high school which would’ve likely been in season 4 for Bridget. Not sure if it would’ve gotten into the Obama years but definitely would’ve been within sight of it, I think! 😀
And THAT is why I loved John Ritter so much - his showmanship with his shows. His silliness and ability to make others laugh. (That 3s company skit was hilarious!)
John Ritter at that time in 8 simple rules he was just as funny as when he was in threes company! He still is my favorite Comedian actor! Miss John Ritter! R.I.P!
John was the embodiment of Jack Tripper his entire life. Even in 8 Simple Rules. I you were an avid fan of Three's Company, you could definitely see Jack Tripper in his acting. These bloopers are the best. I sure do miss him. ♥
There were a lot of dud shows around this 2002-2006 era and this wasn’t one of them but it showed in a weird time and with John doing crazy things it would have had a chance.
John Ritter was one of my favorite Actors of the entertainment industry and I had this dream about seeing him in angel form and he and I were talking about anything and he was so nice to me and he smiled at me said to me to be honest with people who are your friends with you and we said our goodbyes to each other and he said thanks for being a good guy and I woke up next morning and I almost cried after seeing him in angel form and I never forgotten how talented he was and loved by anyone who worked with him
Yes. O e of his sons has his voice and laugh. The other has his looks. I hope they are well. They had a fantastic person for a dad. I pray the whole family is doing well.
@They_Call_Me_ Pebbles Uhhh, OBVIOUSLY I did NOT watch it...sadly...I really wish I DID watch it....I do not know why I did not watch it...other than, maybe, there were other shows on that I valued more...but, now that I think back on it, and how good John Ritter was...I TOTALLY SHOULD have watched it. But, that is what the internet is for...so I can watch shows that I missed...
John was a gifted man who everyone on set absolutely adored and loved being around. Look at how happy everyone was around him. That was all him..everyone loved him. Gone too soon.
His memory is kept alive by his son Jason Ritter,so if they reboot 3 company,he could play the role his famous father played, actually I would love to see him in a reboot of Eight Simple Rules, and many outtakes too,his father John outtakes with Katey are funny as heck.
I think John gave Marty the fart box to prank Katy. He was SO FUNNY! We lost him WAY too soon! I still miss him. But I grew up watching him on Three's Company, so... He also did an episode of Wings (playing Kasey's ex-husband Stuart. His real-life wife Amy Yasbeck.) and I laughed myself sick! John was great in everything!!!
John Ritter's talented soul forever be missed forever by anyone who worked with him and he will never replaced in my memories for the longest time in my opinion but I knew that he was in my dream one night and he and I talked about anything and I will miss him dearly because he's so gifted and he was so goofy and he will always be missed by anyone who knew him physically and mentally or something like that
It must of been so fun to work with John. Such a wonderful guy. I didn't watch this show but seeing this video of clips, I can see something was going on with his health. He actually didn't look well, which is sad. He is missed. I like finding shows and movies with him and watch them in his memory.
I know what you mean..When this was on, I remember seeing a pic of John around this time and I thought he looked a little bloated, or something just didn't look right, and I remember thinking he must be having undisclosed health issues at the time..Sad that those around him didn't notice..Very sad..
I feel like when you were working with John it didn't feel work it felt like u were playing! That's the kind of energy he brought out to the audience! It's so sad that he went away so soon. 😔 R.I.P john ritter
If anyone gets a chance check out the movie "They All Laughed" ...Audrey Hepburn, Ben Gazzara, John Ritter, Colleen Camp, Patti Hansen, and Dorothy Stratten It's a movie not a lot of people are familiar with directed by Peter Bogdanovich. It's always been one of my favorites. It's a comedy set in 1980's New York City. If you're a film buff there was a lot of serious drama going on behind the scenes with Dorothy. It didn't end well. The movie's opening credits dedicate the movie to her.
He's so hilarious, I almost choked on my water!!! 😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 He sure didn't look like he was in his 50's here! I would've guessed maybe 40. 😍 Sweetest, funniest man EVER!! We all love & miss you so much, John. R.I.P. with all of the other angels. 💔❤ 😢😓😥
He was also on a episode of the Cosby show. Back in the late 80’s playing the husband of his real life wife played by Amy Ritter. She was pregnant on the show. And he was going into panic mode!!! Very funny. John Ritter is still missed after all of these years, rip
REST IN ,PEACE , JOHN RITTER , WE ,LOVE YOU AND MISS YOU YOU WERE ARE BEST FRIEND ARE HOPE ARE HEART SOUL AND WE WILL MISS YOU LOVE YOU FOR EVER , YOU DIED TO SOON WE MISS YOUR FUNNY WAY ON TV SHOWS ,, WE LOVE YOU ,,
Remember this show as a child it was hilarious and I remember when he died it sucked man n then thy bright David something he was funny but it wasn’t the same
When Katie lets go, she lets go, i first fell in love this great comedy actress when she was in "Married With Children", i have watched these out takes more times than i have hot dinners the last 5 years and i still burst out laughing at the moment when Katie is laid on the sofa and her "son" lets rip and all she can do is crack out laughing.
OMG! Thank you!! I’ve watched these so many times and still couldn’t figure out who he was! I knew it was someone I should easily recognize but that’s as far as my brain would take me!
Could you imagine trying to get anything done with John Ritter around lol?! I’d be too busy laughing and trying to breathe and not pee my pants to do anything else! I just wish they would have had Suzanne Somers, Joyce Dewitt and Pricilla Barnes even Mr. turkey or the Ropers if they were still alive make a guest appearance on the show but keep it a surprise especially from John and make sure there were several cameras to capture his reaction..it would have been awesome.
Also I am so glad that there have never been any photos or video clips of what happened to John on set the day he died cause you know there had to be cameras and nosey people everywhere trying to get a peek.
