I sent a Discord message to my real life Air Force pilot friend with a link to this video and a short caption: "After Casablanca and Citizen Cane, this may be the most significant cinematic achievement in human history." After having now re-watched the video, I'm afraid I may have somehow managed to understate its greatness. For that, I apologize profusely. My only additional thought is that were I a sushi restaurant owner, the "Dubai Roll" would find an immediate and permanent place at the top of my specials menu.
Chris, the maniac, is what lightens up my day! Crazy stunts in a crazy monster of a bird. The no gravity part made my day... you owe me a drink and a screen cleaner :P
Brilliant and what a hoot, Chris! The Antonov in the Mach Loop would give the Cad East & West photters a laugh! Loved this compilation. Best wishes from Wirral!
Absolutely love it! Reminds me of a Clarkson car review: "Is it green?" - "Well, no, it's red." Congratulations on 15,000 subscribers, it's very well deserved!
What an unfair world where I can only give one like for this wonderful video! I haven't fired up the sim for ages but last time I did, I landed the Got Gravel Cub in St. Marks Square, towards the Basilica Pretty much stalled over the buildings on short finals and stopped somewhat close to the Basilica ... It's what flight sims are made for ...
👍👍 Fantastic video Chris!!! I immediately recognized Saba @ 0:00 as I've done many sim sorties in that lovely area after visiting gorgeous St. Maarten quite a few years ago with my younger brother. OUCH what a hangover! Anyway, gotta admit I was half expecting to see you have a go at nearby good old St. Barts. 😁 Cheers from Thailand!
Totally mad, this is what I like about simulators being able to do stunts that might not of been possible in reality. It does make you wonder if in reality they pulled some circus Stunts with the real one. Such a lovely aircraft to have seen and such a shame she's no longer with us. Excellent flying as always Chris
Yup, got to do the things that you don’t get chance to for real! Doubt they’d get away with stunts in the real one. I mean from a, not get spotted doing it and lose your licence-kinda way! 😅
All that and you didn't even break into a sweat!! How do I know? Easy, you didn't switch on the fan :D If they ever rebuild this, I vote you for chief test pilot. Well done!
Lol, if only I got paid commission! 😂 Camera angles are actually internal custom camera views set up on the outside. And for panning I use SkyDolly replay and the drone camera 👍🏻
Great video Chris, I fly with the Grippersim live stream on Sunday evening's 9.30 uk time (gamer tag Skyhawk61) we get up to some crazy madness as well as some GA flying. However the other day I flew the Zenith STOL aircraft from St Mawgan. And the crazy thing I Did? Well ashphalt runway, full power take off as soon as wheels left the ground pull up into a loop, landing immediately back on the same runway. Get it wrong and you'll face plant the runway...... great fun and I saved a recording of it 😎👍
Is the Carrier in the default MSFS, or do you need some addon? I got the middle edition of MSFS - i have no clue how it's called. I just know that Microsoft pissed me off beyond belief, because i bought the middle edition in naive hope that i'm gonna pay few bucks later to upgrade it to the full edition, only to find out, that they're asking full price for "the upgrade". Nvm. Soo yeah. Carrier - is it included in the middle edition?
@@cgaviator perhaps a roll or two, I have most definitely not tried the Dubai bank between buildings haha. But the Mach loop looks fun as heck, so I'll probably give that a go!
A couple of things I want to say. Firstly, I feel like with that carrier launch I now need to call you Dolittle. Secondly, kinda funny the Antonov orbital services thing, since the AN-225 was originally designed to carry the Russian space shuttle (Buran) on it's back.
10 things every Antonov pilot has to do before dying. 😅 Besides that i really hope that at some point basic structural failures will be included. Based on simple load values for each airframe some ripping wings, folding fuselages and breaking landing gears would be horrifically immersive... 💙
I think basically it’s included but not visually. Sadly I don’t think this will ever be implemented, not like in DCS. I’ve burst a few tyres in P3D before now but that’s about it.
Loving this! The 225 is surprisingly easy to hand-fly, as is its IniBuilds stablemate the A310, which makes me want to take them up more often than the PMDG 737-800 which is smaller but feels heavier and more difficult to slow down for a landing. Maybe something to do with the size of the wings in relation to the weight?
LoL, nice one :) Antonov 225 is my first payware add-on for MSFS, just got it last week. Had to have this beauty. One question if you don't mind. How do you get the sim to play so smooth, and record without stutters, what's your secret sir 😊? I'm working on my first MSFS video, but it's a struggle with the (micro)stutters, especially getting smooth and stutterfree footage. I have 165hz Gsync compatible monitor, but ended up with getting a 60hz panel (without free/gsync) for MSFS, and now i play at 30fps with Vsync at 50% because like that it's the most smooth i can get it. But it's not stutter free like your videos, not even close.
Thanks! And reference stutters, it’s not always plane sailing (pun intended!)! 😄 I think I have g-sync and 50%. Most of my stutters were linked to heavy air traffic modelling so I record with that off. I think internet and server speed can be an issue as well. Lucky I have a very tidy download speed! I use OBS but not overly high bitrate. Sometimes I use shadowplay. Check my specs, I could go better but I get a fairly decent balance for multi tasking. If toured down on cores then I’ll be hard work for your PC
The catapult software just asks how fast you want to be and I think the time taken to accelerate (kinetic assistant or Miltech). Floating in cockpit is the drone camera in cockpit! Aeros are all me! 😆
Yesterday I tookk the MB 339 FROM EGHL toEGOV mostly on the deck treetop stuff.I actually scraped a hilltop with the belly of the aircraft, but a little help from slew and I was back on my way............................
@@cgaviator Well,on my pc I use the key bind to the @ key to get into slew and the standard F4 key to gain altitude. If I want to advance the flight through boredom I use the numpad key 8 to munch a few miles off the flight.Use the @ key to toggle out of slew........................................try it,youknow you want to...................................
@@cgaviator I understand. I've been trying to figure it out for a while now hah. I'm not british but I've been in the UK for a quite a while now. I just could not figure out your accent. Sorry if this is weird hah. I respect the way you talk. Very professional.
@@d1d1ka29 There are vast areas of the south east and south of England where it can be very difficult to place an accent, even for locals. I grew up in Hertfordshire, but would struggle to tell if someone was from Kent, Bedfordshire or Sussex. Compare that to Yorkshire where I live now, and I can happily place a York, Sheffield or Bradford accent.
Annnnnd the Mriya's structural integrity is hard broke and overfatigued. To the point it started developing structural cracks. Maintenance is now.... *PISSED!!!* And you owe them more than a round of beer for that. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Maybe, I don’t think I’ll be a heavy pilot any time soon! That said, max g limits usually have a safety factor built into it. I reckon the loop would be fine! 😂
Lol! I must visit for real at some point! Washington State has some fantastic scenery and Seattle just has everything a pilot would want! That and the developers seem to have done a great job at recreating it but I’ll defer to you for that!
@cgaviator they have done a pretty good job even with the default scenery. And agreed the US nw is absolutely beautiful, im a lottle spoiled in thay regard. Totally blanked on it being a significant location for both Boeing and Microsoft so I suppose it's only natural. Also wanted to say thank you for the videos, I'm very green to flight sim and I've learned loads from you.
