Tasha James Do you get a lot of shrinkage when you wet your hair? Does it hang down loosely when it's wet? If your hair compacts tightly when wet, then you're most likely 4c or in the type 4 category. If not, you might have type 3 hair or a variation of type 3 and 4. Type 4 hair usually gets dry and tangled easily too. Also, wash n go's usually lead to a lot of tangles and lack of movement, especially if you have type 4c hair. I hope that was helpful 😅 I'm 4c, so I tried to incorporate some of what usually happens with my hair type.

Wanted to comment and thank you for your detailed videos my best friend and I are white and she recently took in a girl who is 12 w 4 c hair who was never really taught how to care for it and my friend and I know enough to moisturize it and get it healthy but have no idea how to style it or help her feel confident in her natural hair and we can't really afford to take her to get it done and don't know anyone willing to do the work to do it for us so we are doing our best and you have helped so much. We want her to feel beautiful and confident In her African and Cambobdian skin and hair.

My colleagues and I have been doing a series of workshops around Liberia educating adolescents on the history of colorism, its effects on the self-esteem and their culture, and natural alternatives to take care of themselves other than bleaching and perming. I just played this video for them and they were BEYOND fascinated! Much more than I even expected. I don't know you but I wish you could have been here to see it! Kima E. So your still in the TWA stage I'm guessing but your getting some length? I cherish those days, styling was so easy, I would just spritz my hair and go lol. I liked finger coils too, try them, saves time in the morning x I'm not at medium length yet and I've left my TWA stage so deffo would have to categorise as short x

I have medium length hair, but these are all pretty much my go to styles usually! 😀 I rock the fro and high puff a lot these days, but the two puffs are always fun, especially when I get tired of the usual twist out 😅 I've only worn the Mohawk style a few times, but it's fun and quick to do as well. Great video!! 😊👍
