8 Things To Do Once You Finish the Story In Monster Hunter Stories 2 

Pro tip for Super Rare den farmers: If you spot a SR Den, you can save at the nearest Catavan stand so that if you don't get the egg you want, you can just reload the save to try again.

First thing I did after finishing the game was got one shot to a high rank baggie and wondered where that dude was in the final boss fight.

A tip on den farming that I've seen that makes things a lot quicker - at least, it did for me when I was looking for a Nergigante egg. Spawn in at the Terga Volcano Base location with a Great Jaggi or Rathian as your lead monstie, get on it and use the den search. This locale is small enough that the den search searches the entire map. You can then pause, hover over all the den locations and it will tell you on the map which ones are rare, which are high rank, which are rare high rank etc. This means you don't have to move from the Catavan stand, and while you're on the map, if you don't like the dens, you can just click on the Catavan stand and change the time to get a new set. A lot quicker than having to fly around the whole map every time!

i can't wait to see what crazy stuff people do in pvp, like a full team of silly herbivores chock full of grade A SSS tier genes or somethin crazy

God you know what this game needs? New Game+. *COUGH* And Oltura as a monstie- *COUGH* What I wouldn't give to storm through the entire game with my favorite monsters that are only obtainable near or in end/postgame.

Btw, Nergigante Eggs can be obtained from any Rare Den after you beat him, he just has a higher chance for better genes like all the other Monsties in the High Rank Dens

I finished story today, accidently stumbled into a super rare high rank den and the first egg was a rainbow velkhana so I'm happy :D

I found a lot of Nergigante eggs before I went to finish the story. I actually used it in the fight of the final boss. Was neat.

It’s faster to farm super rare dents than doing co op missions for elder dragons imo. I got all my elder dragons in a few hours, I didn’t have to fight any elder monster and all of my eggs had amazing genes bc I was using the charm and rare eggs prayer. Only if you’re low level >_>

FINALLY! 60 hours later and I'm in the post game ... My fun is just getting started!

you can farm normal rare dens for Nergigante before high rank, as long as you have defeated him in the story you're good to go farming for him in any rare dens in the Terga region. I had three before I killed the last boss as I was farming a specific gene for mine c:

1. Farm High Rank Dens 2. Farm Super Rare Dens (Diamond) 3. Complete the Elder's Lair 4. Finish Your Quests 5. Explore Co-Op Expeditions 6. Use the Rite of Channeling 7. Test your team in PvP 8. Collect Battlecap Items Be sure to like the video!

After the nergigante fight you can get his egg in rare dens, doesn't have to be high rank

TFW you watch this video immediately after completing the final story mission and run off to a High Rank Den only to be murdered by Great Dracophage Bugs. Time to go pick up a buddy and hit the Elder's Lair for a while. XD

Maybe I misunderstand it, but you can get Nergigante directly after you fought him in the Story. He will be in Highrank rare den in the vulcano region. You don't need to complete the Game story to get him. That said Nergigante is very rare (1:27)

@Arekkz Gaming I haven't seen anyone mention but what would you say is the best way to farm bottlecaps for endgame. Would Rare co-op dens provide more bottle caps than regular ones or is it better to just do the normal co-op dens for bottlecaps

Just finished story and I'm getting wiped by almost every high rank monster - how am I meant to scale up my team (lvl 49+, Nerg armor maxed, nerg weapons maxed) if I can't even hunt the high rank versions?

Nergigante can be found in any terga den, not just the rare high rank ones. I got mine from the first den I did after beating the Nergi boss.

Recently just got Velkhana and now i don't know what to do xD Though I guess I want to get more outfits

When I first watched this video a week after it releases I remember wanting a elder dragon so bad and how determined I was to collect them all and I would use a rathian to scope out all the dens near me in terga till I got lucky and ended up finding 4 Super rare high rank dens

there's also a Layered armour vendor in Lulucion, if you've crafted a set - he'll sell you the layered set for 700z

I've found Nergi in regular rare dens before, in Terga of course

On hakolo you can scout for deviljho and beezelgueze also easy to find and in loloska forest you also find oroshi kirin, fulgur anjanath very easy to find 😅 i found about 10 of em

Co op expeditions would be more fun if you could level restrict who can join you. They also need to remove the force start when someone joins. If I put up slay Velkhana I don't need someone under level 40 trying to nub in on that quest, just ends up being a waste of time when they get 1 shotted. Most of the time I just end up rolling with the AI, in my experience so far, random co op is pretty eh... Just don't do it. I tried being nice putting up an SR palamute ticket just to have someone wipe my quest on a Sand Barioth... I even run a support hunting horn in my main setup... At least you can save scum your tickets back if someone screws your quest.

right of Channeling made me able to make an electric powerhouse snake cat dragon and a tank Nergigiarga that helped so much in the end fight, and by helped i mean i went into it with him being almost 400 hp and able to tank so much damage

Actually i got super lucky somehow and got my Nergigante from a rare den in the terga crytsal cavern before getting back to guardian ratha woods, i got 2 of them but one had rare genes

Couple things I’m wondering, are high rank monsters only inside high rank dens or do they also appear outside of high rank dens? also I want to complete the monsterpedia and stuff but where do I find stuff like high rank aptonoth, do I just need to keep entering high rank dens until I come across all the monsters?

I keep adding these types of videos to a Playlist to watch when I get there. A few days before the full game release, there were videos with full game content and after the fill game release it was mostly end game content.

I swear the spawn rates are very iffy, you haven't seen more than 5 in the time you played but I was able to find 7 just this week,I have no clue if my luck is just built different or spawn rates are different for console and pc

I wish there were a stories spinoff game or a stories DLC that introduced frontier monsters, I would love to ride on a Duremudira, because once You beat the game, get every monstie and Finish the monster fight dex, the game gets a bit boring

Nergi can also be found in low rank rare dens in the lava pool region. Not sure what the drop rate is but I got super lucky and found him there before I finished the game

Could anyone answer me in a spolier free way how your companions work in post game? Do you get one attached permanently or can you choose between all the ones you've met or something? Or are you just alone once you hit postgame?

Terga doesnt spawn super rare dens The best place would be alaca highlands and pomore gardens die to the fov coverage while flying

Looking forward to the post game I just got a Deviljho as my final monstie(for now deviants being evolutions to 3 of my team mates) and grinding for levels and armour though I feel bad for basically putting Jho into extinction Also I managed to get Nergigante eggs in the dens after his boss fight hell I found 3 back to back in 3 separate rare dens I know he’s rare but that was a surprise
