Set sketch layer to multiply
Flip a lot

Marquee select/color bucket fill and gradients
Marquee select foreground character
Fills
Background separate layer
Flow 60%
Smoothing 8%
Hue sat and brightness
No zooming
Shading: create clipping mask on main character and lightly large brush and deletes
No mercy for rim lighting
Clipping masks on new layer then merge down
Details:
Go over lines again with line 2.0 for definition
Air brush for soft gradients
New layer and merge details
Use eraser to de-emphasize
Line 2 for highlights
Hair highlights draw a large hlighlight and the delete ends for fade
Line 2 for red and detailed skin tone
Blend mode hard light light yellow at light source for glow with airbrush and erase to shape
