I've made a few of these mistakes, but it was Brad's fault for not being in my area.

Hi bud! I watch every video you make, but I'll be honest... this one didn't excite me ONLY BECAUSE I will never be in a position to build a home, or remodel one for that matter. Disability does not pay well, haha. Having said this, I can honestly say that I was wrong. This may very well be in my top 10 videos you've done. This was very informative and I feel like it is transferable to many things in life from building a home, to buying a car or finding a doctor for that matter. You want to know that you can communicate with them, that they understand what your needs are and are willing to help you find whatever it is. A lot of it boils down to finding a person that is honest, skilled, willing to talk to you and you can be assured that they know their stuff and won't steer you wrong. Your insight into all of the areas from being accessible to your homeowner, being respectable and respectful, your willingness to keep them up to date and advise them as to what is needed from them and how to get that task achieved on time and on budget, is SO valuable to all of us. As I said, this relationship between yourself and your client and your knowledge and reputation is so transferable. Thank you for another video where you've broken things down into language everyone can understand and follow. I've said this before and will say it again, the fact that you have such talented craftsmen as subs and that they've been with you for a long time speaks to your character, your reputation and the way you treat others. Take care - hope everyone is healthy and happy in your world! Heather🇨🇦 Jokes: 1) I heard that the Pentagon was originally supposed to be the Octagon, but the contractor kept cutting corners.🤣 2) Q: How did the homeowners react when they learned that the electrician they'd hired was awful at his trade? A: They were shocked!

I'm picking up the keys to my newly constructed home on Monday. I am looking for a contractor to finish off my basement. The builder doesn't finish basements. It's a partially custom home and I'm glad you put out these videos.

Finishing off lower levels is the easiest construction project there is! Here’s a tip… make sure you finish it off the same quality as you did upstairs !

Great video! Love learning the background side of home building. Could you make a video and go more in depth of cost estimating/bidding/budgeting projects? Feel like that’s very important/difficult

Brad, can you recommend a beginner program to make construction drawings. Mainly to show framing?
@BradtheBuilder
@BradtheBuilder 2 месяца назад
I don’t have any of these programs what I would recommend is do what I’ve always done is higher a draftsman in your area they’re not very expensive and they’ll provide you the drawings that you need

Hey Brad,very informative 👍💗. ? Are there accounts that the Subs use to buy supplies? JO JO IN VT 💞
@BradtheBuilder
@BradtheBuilder 2 месяца назад
Subcontractors sometimes have special pricing that I can’t get for example plumbers and sometimes Tile Setters because they only sell to those subs directly… Did I answer your question?
