Mine is named Xena. But she's an German Shepard, Anatolian Shepard and Husky mix. She has the color of the Anatolian, the features of the German and the talkativeness of a Husky.
Awesome, what is their name? I have got a shepherd husky mix about 6 months ago after having to put my husky down. I never thought I would get another dog after putting my husky down, but once I met my new pup, my heart felt different. Her mane is Freyja, and she is so so smart. She was 12 weeks old when I got her, and she is so intuitive to me and what I am asking her to do. She is currently being trained to be my service animal through the VA.
Mine is named Loki. First GS I’ve had. He’s 6 months old. Was so easy to potty train and learned simple commands very quickly. I’ve found it’s way too easy to spoil him as he picked up on my weak spots quickly

There’s three coat types stock, plush, and long haired. You can have a red, tan, or silver saddle back. Red, tan, silver sable. Red, tan, or silver blanket. Solid black (no white patches, can still have small white patches on chest though but not desired). Solid white (must have black nose and skin around eyes. And red, tan, or silver bicolor. Anything outside of this is NOT to standard. Liver or blue of any of the varieties of coat colors, panda are not rare, they are undesirable and do not adhere to the standard. You get what you pay for with this breed and the pricing is way off, any well bred GS will cost 1,000-2,500. There’s also a working, and show line. American and European lines as well. I find European show lines to be best atleast a family dog and also drivey enough to do protection work! I have a west German show line off the famous Zamp Von Thermodos, he’s an amazing representation of the breed’s fierce loyalty, intelligence, agility, and protectiveness while also having amazing structure and mental stability ❤
Silver, or any diluted color, is a faulted and not desired. Deep, rich colors are strongly preferred, and show good quality. Silver is usually a diluted black and tan or black and red, and blue is a diluted black. Standard colors are: Black and red, black and tan, sable, bi-color, and black. Some marking varieties are: Saddle back, blanket back, bi-color, rich bi-color, and sable.

White coated GSD's aren't breed standard. Liver colored is also a defect. What the hell is panda? There's sable, black and red, black and tan, black and bi color. I have two GSD's. One is a male Czech/German working line. He's bi color, black except his lower legs are tan. The other is a german show line female. She's black and red. Smartest dogs in the world.
ps. Max was a rescue, and was confident, friendly, laid back, and didn't talk much. His head was the size of a Miniature Pinscher. He was like a smart human soldier in a dog suit. RIP, Max. 2012 🌈🌉
Nah they go up to the $2,000-$3,500 if the parents have genetic testing for degenerative diseases, AKC membership, hip and elbow X-rays that prove they don’t have hip/elbow dysplasia, and a few other things. It goes up even higher to if they’re parents are show-line and they have a few ribbons, depending on what the parents have won the prices can be very high. Anyways you pay that 2000-3500 range so you don’t end up paying several times that in vet bills because the genetic conditions they can have are nasty.
There are more than 5 types though. If you were to say that there are only 5 types you’d have to categorize them as standard saddle, bi color, melanistic (also known as cape or blanket back), sable, and solid with color variations of black, white, tan, silver, liver(which is still off standard) being secondary classifications. Panda isn’t AKC recognized and is considered a fault in dog shows. The word “type” is vague. Types of German shepherds also could include East German shepherds, German working lines, Czech working lines, and show lines all of which tend to have different body builds. You could have classified them by coat; long haired, plush coat, and stock. There are a ton of “types” of German shepherd depending on how you classify them.
I have 2 German shepherd's named Poppy and Bailey and my mom has diabetes(not sure if i spelt that right) and our dog bailey woke my mom up during the night cause he knew that she was in a (i dont know how to spell it) and i was very thankful for him
