You are so right about just leaving it alone. For me the more I just moisturize, braid, and leave it alone has allowed my hair to grow. Thank you for the great tips.

I had to stop doing braids because the weave pulls at my edges and is tangled when it comes out. I'm into short hair, and my hair just got to my armpit, so it's a great time to start for me

I feel like my growth has been stagnant for over a year and it's not because it's not growing, my hair grows really quickly. It's the fact that my ends have a huge habit of curling into knots, some that were way too hard to comb out so I always found myself cutting it off. It's literally only LAST WEEK where i dipped my ends in hot water and found that loosens the knot. Hopefully I see some progress in the future months😖

Protective styles are really underrated. I started doing protective styles around February and for the first time in forever, I retained enough length,in 2 month I retained 3 inches,before protective styling, I'd retain just 1 inch in like 2-3 months. I also started doing finger detangling,only use wide tooth comb,once a month or whenever I feel like.

I don’t mind leaving my hair alone. I just need to figure out how to best moisturize my hair. Because I feel like I need to moisturize my hair everyday 😩. But at the same time, back in college, for a year I co-washed my hair 5 days a week with a leave in conditioner and I swear my hair grew sooooo much. I’m just so lazy now and don’t know how to start back constantly doing that. So I’m trying to find out another method but idk what to do

I started to moisturize my hair every other day because im height porosity and moisture doesn’t last long on my hair.I stopped doing box braids and stuff, now I do mini twists and conrows (in a stylish way) as protective styling and allowing me to keep moisturizing.
@MycahEquette
@MycahEquette 2 года назад
@@lifeofachristiannursingstu9498 interestingly enough the person I let do my box braids moisturizes my hair so well, that after taking them out my hair is still hydrated and soft after taking them out. It’s just too expensive to constantly do because I don’t usually get my hair done unless I’m going out of town or something. So I can’t bring myself to get my hair done for no reason lol. I think she over moisturizes my hair, which might be the perfect amount. I have a hard time putting a lot of moisturizing product in my head. If I can overcome that I think I might see better results. I’m always scared I’m using too much when I’m probably not using enough

I don't think I will ever learn how to cornrow or flat twist, and I'm too traumatized by the thought of even trying again. That being said I still have been able to take care of my hair and grow it to hip length without those particular styles. I agree it is very important to learn about your hair and know how to take care of it. If I could only do my hair once a month I most likely would do that, but my hair and scalp are not having any of that so I'm stuck doing it every 5-7 days. I always thought I wanted tailbone length hair, but because of the upkeep, I trim it quarterly to keep it at hip length. Sometimes I still think about tailbone length, but then I think about having to redo it weekly and decide against it.

I struggle with the same. But doing the following I saw a huge difference. - Moisturise and do the baggy method twice a week -keep my hair in stretched styles -Finger detangle, its so worth it - Oils and butter are you friend

I kept my hair in 4 sections subdivided into 4 twists. I found that when I stretched the ends with Flexi rods after washing and conditioning and the knots disappeared

Most all natural hair videos state leave your hair alone. Since hair sheds over a hundreds strands a day, why can't I comb them out everyday without feeling me touching my hair is causing it to break or not retain length or too much manipulation? Can anyone answer this question for me. Too me at Provence tangle if I comb out the strands everyday or every two to three days. Thx.
@Ingrid-jx7iz
@Ingrid-jx7iz Год назад
Generally most people don’t touch their hair everyday because it’s too much manipulation. Our strands (esp type 4) are very fragile and love to tangle against themselves. The shed hair will get caught in the roots or in other strands naturally. Combing it out daily will just cause too much friction as Combs can detangle the hair but they can also snag and rip out the hair if your not gentle enough and your ends get weaker and thinner the more you touch it. If you keep your hair tucked away/stretched throughout the week, that is the best way to keep hair tangle free and ready to detangle come wash day.

Ok I have mini twist in right now but I just got in the pool and you know about the chlorine and stuff so my question would be is it safe to keep the twist in ?
@NaturalAcademia
@NaturalAcademia 2 года назад
I would say no. In my experience, chlorine tends to dry out natural hair, which causes unnecessary breakage. I’d suggest either rinsing the chlorine out of your hair and remoisturizing it in the braids orrrrrr, unbraiding your hair completely and washing it.

A MASSAGE FROM GOD O man, Who have formed you, who designed and created you? Is it not God. Who's image and likeness do you stand? Is it not God's. Whom do you owe your breath, your strength, your wisdom, and your life. It is God. Your life and soul belongs to him. He has power to take and to give life. But he has given you life that you may have the chance to repent and know him. Why then should we run after the things of this world, after Sin and vain pleasures of this world, instead of our creator. When you should have been cast into damnation by the evil of man's heart, who came to stand for you, who became the hope of man, when we couldn't even show a gleam of light. Who came to saved your soul, when sin has stolen it. It was Jesus. He came to offer himself on earth that you might be saved. We where hopeless and vile, disposable with sin and corruption, but God didn't give up on us. Why then should we trade him for anything. Surrender all to Jesus, nothing in this life is worth it. You're not ur own, you belong to Jesus, do not reject him on earth. Do not allow any sin to pull you away from him. Give your life to him today, repent and surrender all, believe and follow him. In him is the key to Eternal life. To reject your creator and savior is to reject life and accept hell. Without Jesus in ur life, your life of earth is meaningless. He is the only way, the truth and the life.
