Citrus Swirl is THE BOMB! It's the best ice cream treat in the park, hands down. The tartness of the orange is completely balanced with the creaminess of the vanilla ice cream. Absolutely perfect blend.
This used to be the TOP treat in WDW when I was growing up. This and frozen chocolate covered bananas. But when you go to Florida, you expect ORANGES, right? She was LOVED to the Citrus Swirl.
Just booked a trip to disneyland with my aunt for early august! I’ve never gone there before and i’m so excited! Your videos are really helping me to plan what to do :)
Just back from a WDW vacations, all your videos have been very helpful to find the Best way to experience the Parks, the rides, the hotel, and the foods. Thanks a lot for your amazing work!
Molly, you almost nailed "Kueche" on your first attempt in this video! The correct pronunciation is "ˈkʏ:çə", so you only needed to add an "ə" sound to your "Kuech"!! 😊 The way to pronounce "ue" is to say "ee" with your lips pursed (almost closed) for an "uu" sound. And the German "ch" is pronounced like the Spanish "J". Great video, thanks! How I wish I could fly over and visit, not least for the corn tacos, the dumplings - and the steak puff looks also amazing!
I definitely didn’t know about some of these treats. The next trip I take is going to be all about trying new food spots and enjoying the ambiance more, so I’ll have to add in some of those to the mix (if they still exist in January)
I can't get enough of the citrus swirl either!!! The Dole Whip is a bit too in-your-face pineapple for me, but the citrus swirl I find absolutely refreshing! The sweetness of the soft serve vanilla cuts through the tart orange, and it's a perfect treat on a very hot MK day!
Mmm, the only thing I have ever eaten at Baselines is the puff pastry steak, and this made my mouth water, bringing the memories back! Thanks Molly for all your sacrifices 😀
Some of these look amazing. I keep adding things to try to my mental list of things I want to do in WDW! On a side note, I have gone back and viewed older videos and can I say that the lack of editor comments is really noticeable. 😄 I don't know if this video editor is a new hire or not, but they are a gem. We see you video editor, and we appreciate you!
I’m going to Hollywood studios in October and the Peanut Butter and Jelly shortbread cookie for the 50th is on my list of must haves. It sounds so good!
I’m going to Disney world this Friday and I’m so Excited! You guys really don’t know how much u guys help! I watched Quincy’s tours to make a list of what rides and shops I want to go to! I watched your videos on must eat snacks to decide what I wanted to eat, and I watched your ranking rides and your genie videos to decide which rides I wanna book and which rides are must dos! Your videos literally taught me all of genie plus and how to use it! Thank you so much for uploading these videos!😀
I wholeheartedly agree. And your “trapped in”, “literally everything”, and “what to do with no waits” have given me great ideas for when the parks just get crazy busy.
Mollyyyy, can you do a video about the most kid-friendly attraction queues to choose if we’re forced to pick some with longer wait times to wait stand-by in 😬
Thank You !! Love videos like this!! Will be [ hopefully] going to DW next year, Feb 2023 for my Very First time Ever!!!, and will bring this list with me!!! Will Want to try ALL of them! [ not all at once, (insert wink emoji ) ] Nice to have alternatives to check out along with the more well known snacks.
The citrus swirl on the apple cider was probably the best thing we had on our first trip last week. Everything just stopped in magic kingdom at 1 pm as we ate it. I miss it😭
These look so good! I can’t wait to try the tacos and the citrus swirl! You should try the pina colada sorbet at L’Artisan des Glaces! That is my favorite underrated treat in Epcot!
Ok, wow!!! Definitely going to try the citrus swirl and it's availavle through mobile order. Plus, I LOVE Arnold Palmers and bonus it's a slushy. What the what?!?! Thanks for sharing these hidden gems.
I love your videos! Although they do make me crave a trip to Disney. As to your question about how to pronounce "Küche" from Karamell Küche, it's hard to explain in writing, as the "ü" sound doesn't exist in English. If you are curious, my suggestion is to google it to listen to audio clips from native German speakers, and try to imitate what you hear.
Thanks for this video! I am totally a savory person and this video helps for my DAK trip in October! Also side note love your lipstick in the animal kingdom portion! Can you tell me what brand it is? Pretty please 😁
Hi Molly -- Küche is pronounced kind of like "keu-chah" where that first vowel is in between an ee and a u sound (because of the umlaut ü) and then the ch is a guttural almost growled like in Chanukah. The final vowel is like an uh. So Kar-a-mell Keu-chuh.
I’m with you Molly on the citrus swirl! I don’t care for pineapple, so definitely the swirl over dole whip for me 😝 Also, my 10 year old was quick to point out that you were missing your dark lipstick during the DAK portion of this video 😂
Hey Molly! We asked the CM about the pronunciation last time we were in Karamell-Kuche. They said it is Care-A-mel Kook (like a crazy person). That actually made us relieved that it was so easy vs. what it could have been 🤣
I think the CM have heard it all now, so they will understand it anyway. ;-) It's actually "ˈkʏ:çə" (Molly almost nailed it), and if you google for "pronunciation of Kueche" you will find many sites and some youtube videos with correct examples to listen to.
hey I am from Austria. americans are mostly not able to pronounce the Ü. so usually just take it as an U. but try to say koo-khe. maybe it helps haha liebe grüße
The Citrus Swirl beats Dole Whip hands down. I pulled up the menu for Eight Spoons because I couldn't read it in the video. Highly disappointed that the shrimp Mac and cheese with green chili isn't there any more.
Hey Molly 🙂 I do remember getting mcdess fries and nuggets in Epcot..lol Just wondering is the pineapple upside cake back at Aloha Isle? I will be getting some coconut dole whip on day 1 of my next trip just for you 😁
Love ❤ both the Citrus Swirl and the Pineapple 🍍 Dole Whip (in Float form normally). We Always get them each time we visit. We're OG though. 🤣 I have a 📸 of me with the 🍊 🐦 as a child.
Küche is tricky I'm not entirely sure how to type how to say it My advice would be to ask someone who works there they might know, someone from Germany, or just find some one that speaks German or google it from like native German speakers
Citrus swirl wins every time for me! I wish they would at least have it at Disneyland. California is famous for citrus too, right? They inexplicably have orange bird merch in Disneyland, but no citrus swirl?? 😡
hey I am from Austria. americans are mostly not able to pronounce the Ü. so usually just take it as an U. but try to say koo-khe. maybe it helps haha its the german word for kitchen liebe grüße
Not really ;-) The correct German pronunciation is "ˈkʏ:çə", no "ush" or "yeah" sound at all. The German "ch" is actually pronounced like the Spanish "J". Actually, Molly was halfway there when she first tried, only the final "ə" sound was missing.
But the "ch" sound is not the same as the J in Spanish, at least not in this case? If it follows certain vowels, then yes, like in "Kuchen" or "Acht", but in the case of "Kueche", it really is more of a "sh" sound. I think for an American speaker, Susan's instruction will lead to good results. I agree, as you pointed out in other comments, that it's probably best to just Google the pronunciation and listen to native speakers 👍
I am intrigued by the Citrus Swirl (we are going in November!) and it never shows up on mobile order. Is it possible to just have Citrus and not the ice cream part? I loooooovr frozen orange juice but am not in the Creamsicle fan club.
Unfortunately the orange only on the menu is not the same. It’s more of a dole whip orange and not the frozen orange juice in the Citrus Swirl! The CS machine in kinda finicky so sometimes they aren’t serving it that day.
