Here's the thing tho, why? Is it Because it could become more valuable than what's inside? So do you wanna open packs or make a LONG term flip? The only way it'll be a huge long term flip is; if there's a possibility of something worth EVEN MORE inside it, and so would you really rather gamble someone else pulling it instead by selling it, and if it's yes then do you even care or love the cards? Or just the money. Just seems strange. Imo If you want a cool collection find cool cards, not boxes. If you want a investment portfolio, have it WITHIN the cool cards you pull, or something else like Crypto/stocks instead.
Two out of ten things I get stay sealed and half of that gets opened when I get bored or there is a drought of product so far nothing has made it through a year 😢

I'm now very jealous as well haha xD Isn't it just the best hobby to have?? I absolutely love it and the strange thing is, I had to become over 40 to be liking these and started collecting them. But I got my teenage daughter and my 7-year-old into these as well, so it's something I can do with my daughters and have a lot of fun with it. My 17-year-old son thinks it's for kiddies, and it's dumb what we are doing. So unfortunately it's not something I can also do with my son (maybe if I started earlier). In any case, this was so much fun to watch, looking forward to further collection update videos ❤
If you look back far enough on his channel there are some episodes where Ryan shows things from his collection or walks people like Rev through his basement for shopping sprees haha

Awesome video! I need more space in my house! I’ve been collecting on and off since 1999. I have tried to open one and keep one sealed mostly of everything. The only problem I wish I had started doing that earlier. Oh well! Keep up the great work!
Ha ha I feel so much better about my set up. It’s almost exactly looking like yours just on a smaller scale I haven’t got the nicer, lighting ,microphone and TVs yet and still need to set up a second cam. But seeing some behind the scenes has given me some ideas on how to position my desk and stuff so thanks for that.

That Suicune tin just brought back something so nostalgic. I still have the tin and card to this day! Sadly as a younger kid I took them everywhere and it got some major water damage😭

Where are all the Charizard UPC's? 🤣 Those things are not worth the real estate they take up. Fun fact.. the Charizard UPC was actually supposed to be the finale Crown Zenith UPC. It got moved up so that the revenue drop off from 2021 to 2022 was not as substantial as it would otherwise have been. Execs need to hit their bonuses. Pokemon Go's flop was too great and Charizard set was pushed up. If you were wondering why English got the Charizard cards before Japan... now you know.
I love videos like this, I also love that you store things normally. People always say "gotta get acrylic cases and etb boxes for your sealed stuff" and like, those cases are gonna add up to be the cost of multiple booster boxes if i did that lol. if i had to ask for more, i want more Ex era stuff, loose cards, packs, tins - i just wanna see it

I'm only six months in I have two totes filled and two ebts filled with cards and a binder and a big box of sleeves best part of collecting is showing it off even tho I only get to show my wife the swirls lol
watching this right here is what is giving me some serious motivation to build up my collection for the long haul thats a ton of stuff i gotta get more sealed product in mine really cool to see a behind the scenes thing as well
Amazing collection! Do you have any concerns with humidity in there & if so how do you combat it? Where I live we have pretty harsh changes in weather and I’m always conscious of the temp changes in my collection room. Here’s to another 8 years of collecting!
I may be late to this video but I LOVE the collection. Those blisters are hands down my favorite. I'm a big pack display type products fan. And why does it seem that the older stuff just were bangers every time with the way they displayed it. Lol I think you're great though. As collectors, I think we all have some type of messy areas that are just too much to tackle sometimes. But it leaves for an epic cleaning adventure later on. 😅
Beautiful self control on sealed products Shawn do you store it at around 70 degrees? Reason I ask is cause some product I keep in garage get to be 120f in summer where I live. Ruins the products:(
Such a sick collection! I just started collecting (again) recently. My mom made me sell my old vintage collection like a year ago which included a lot of hard hitters (like a lugia neo destiny holo I pulled myself as a kid). I had no idea that it was worth anything so basically I sold it for nothing which I regret insanely now of course. Hope to build something awesome up over the years. My sealed collection isn't very big but its getting there. I've been keeping mainly eevee and eeveelution items sealed and besides that I open a little and buy singles. I've only been collecting since right before celebrations and I'm just starting to get some vintage all my cards from my childhood are gone

Man thise double shining legends pin boxes were all over walmarts in the metro Detroit area until 2019 clearanced out. I have a few sealed still but passed SOOOOO many during the hidden fates era. Kick myself in the ass for not taking em all when i had the chance lmao
Dude those 3 ring binders no Bueno they bent my whole collection over time from the way the pages sit , deff consider using the ultra pro books with the black pages. I was devastated wen I realized it 😪😢
