Sally Field, Jane Fonda, Lily Tomlin and Rita Moreno chat with ET about their film, '80 For Brady,' in theaters Feb. 3. The actresses play a game of 'Never Have I Ever' and share secrets behind filming the comedy with NFL star Tom Brady.
Say what you will about her past, but Jane Fonda is long overdue for her Kennedy center honors for her contributions to not only in the motion pictures but also American culture. She maintained excellence in her craft for over 62 years and still relevant in the new millennium. Paved the way for successful film actresses Meryl Streep, Cate Blanchett, Sally Field, Nicole Kidman, Annette Bening, Sandra Bullock, Jessica Lange, Brie Larson, etc. She should be bestowed of this highest distinction in arts by the Kennedy center. They’re about arts not politics at the end of the day
@@FrankiWhite730 Hanoi Jane. 1972 handcraft gun picture which blacklisted her from Hollywood and pissed off a lot of soldiers from Vietnam. She’s still getting flak from them
@@FrankiWhite730 Her political activism has caused her controversy, even if it got things done. Particularly with her involvement with anti-war efforts during the Vietnam War, and now her current activism to try to curtail climate change regarding big business's involvement in fossil fuel pollutants. I think that makes her a hero to many too, especially to me.
They might be "famous" and actresses- but these are the women we hope to have in our lives- at any age- the friendship- go years without seeing one another- yet- when you do- it's like nothing ever changed. As women- we put each other down too much when we should look at these four women and say- ya know- we'll have our ups and downs- but we're here. Despite it all- we're here- for all of us!
Saw the movie and would go to see it again!! Love these ladies!! They haven't changed in looks and personality at all!!! All sooo beautiful and funny!! Loving friends!!
You want a friend like Hanoi Jane? What country are you emailing from? Hanoi Jane. Look it up or read a history book. She hates America. She influenced people to SPIT on Veterans. She is a communist. Need more? By the way, [Fonda] still says she’s ‘not proud’ of America. She had a broadcast were she blasted Veterans. She was friends with the Black Panthers. In 1972, Fonda went on to tour North Vietnam in a controversial trip would come to be the most famous - or infamous - part of her activist career and led to her the nickname “Hanoi Jane.” While in Vietnam, Fonda appeared on 10 radio programs to speak out against the U.S. military’s policy in Vietnam and tell pilots to cease bombing. It was during that trip that a photograph was taken of her seated on an anti-aircraft gun in Hanoi, making it look like she would shoot down American planes. At the time, Fonda’s public criticisms of U.S. leadership caused massive outrage among American officials and war veterans. According to the Washington Post, some lawmakers saw her protests as treasonous, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars called for Fonda to be tried as a traitor. At one point, the Maryland state legislature considered banning her and her films from the state. TREASON is what VETERANS and most AMERICANS call it. Then and NOW. 😡😡😠😠
@@lindsey5365 Lindsey it could be updated for this time don't get me wrong it was one of my favorite shows on a Saturday night back in the late " 80s and early '90s but a reboot wouldn't be bad that's all I'm saying.

Watching this, I hope the producers add crazy funny behind the scene clips at the closing credits. Would have been awesome if Tom was watching at another room while the interview was going on and towards the end of the session, he suddenly appears. Would be a shocker 😜🤪😅

They are great legends! Blessings and thanks for being our living room TV friends! Now we come to RU-vid! I like them all! Each is unique and talented. Hope they read all these positive comments. 👍👍👍👍 Jane, Sally, Lilly and Rita: The very few negative comments must be from those taking pills with huge side effects🙈

Saw the movie last week. Went in not expecting much and it was an enjoyable way to spend a little under 2 hours. Suspend your belief and just enjoy the ride. Not high art, just a fun bit of fluff to while away a February evening with friends.
I want to see a documentary with these ladies that called “Tea time with the Ladies” that goes like this: Talk about your lives in the 60s. Tea? Overlap (like how their lives overlapped at that time even if it wasn’t direct but thorough coworkers or lovers or political movements). Now, talk about your lives in the 70s. 80s. 90s. 2000s. 2010s. 2020 (that year alone deserves its own talk). Today.
To be honest, the movie is just eh with some nice moments. The interviews these ladies are doing are so much more entertaining! And that last story between Jane and Rita shows that everything wasn't perfect, but they could talk to each other and there was mutual respect and learning.
Sally Field doesn’t belong with these old Ladies. I’m 69 years old and remember Gidget in the sixties. Sally Field will forever be naturally sweet and lovely .
I kinda sense that there will be little bit of tension between Jane Fonda & Rita Moreno. They both have a domineering personality. A milder version of Bette Davis & Joan Crawford.
Moreno is B grade and slept her way up in the business, 50 years and she is STILL bringing up her big claim to fame BRANDO (who she went with through TWO MARRIAGES TO OTHER WOMEN0. She is insecure and it shows even after all these years.
@@natashaw401 It looks like my other comment got deleted. Yes we are all related along with Clint Eastwood. We are all Mayflowers with Gov. William Bradford.
She had a "Breakdown" when she finally realized Brando was using her (after years of being with him through TWO marriages to other women) on top of ALL the other things she did to advance her "career". They really should have cast someone else with talent.
Moreno's entire career she played strippers/prostitutes and was a b grade "actress" and THAT is being kind. She hooked up with married men to get where she did; she is not on the same level. So spare us the "respect", she was behaving UNPROFRESSIONALLY and Fonda was just trying to speed things up (thinking of ALL the crew) not her shallow ego.
Replace Rita with dolly and carol Burnett and make it a weekly show!! Love Rita but she derails everything all the time they'd never get any work done. A weekly show would take months to do an episode.Laugh out

I begged you guys, will you at least se what it's like to be the one that says I try to tell you guys everything because I don't make sence! Am I the only guy there is or woman either that notice anything? Eric
I have seen the interview multiple times, and think that the ladies are a little jealous of Rita’s charisma, Fonda could not hold in to mention that she is a puertorriqueña. That was ofensiva and racist. Even when Rita is Rita soo secure.
@@murdahmammiez Well, when you use ethnic background to describe someone character is racist. That was what Jane use to describe Rita’s charismatic character. Evidence is there, your opinion is respected but never accepted. White population in the US have the wrong notion that they are the “native” from US. But history provided the truth about it, as Rita all the other Ladies are coming from another country, by looking at them you realize that they are not “native Indian “ so they came from other places from around the world, they must stop seeing others as “others” and began to see us all as equals. Because we are equals like it or not. Blessings.
In your dreams, she had no career or cred compared to the others, she played prositutes/strippers/racist stereo types her entire limited "career". Still bringing up her affair with Brando (a married man) 50 years later, since she's got no other highlights. She reeks of insecurity and jealousy and always has.
Or like Jane Fonda turned vets notes over to enemies..american soldiers beat and tortured..even her voice makes me sick..God will judge her..she wont be by him ..in the end..
