Awesome! Good job. They handled the 7,000 ft summit and shot through the Donner gap with no problem, even with a bit of tule fog hanging over Donner Lake. Anticipating some great results from the first race.. It looks like you released them near Cabela's and the casino?.. Look at that bully JT dancing around on the feeder trying to control things.. 😂😂
Unfortunately yes. I started with 24 babies in the spring, after the race season. About 2500 miles flying, 9 times over the Sierra Nevadas, I was down to 16.
@@jueviolegrace8109@jueviolegrace8109 If the babies make it all the way through the young bird races, yes, their survival rate is higher. That being said, losses with racing old birds, even those that flew as YB, are pretty similar in my area. I would say the average is 50% losses.
