"you make it fit" that's the proper attitude of a real mechanic. many shops don't have mechanics today, they have "technicians" instead, who only know how to use a computer and change one part into another just like it.

Of all the LS swaps people do, this man put so much blood, sweat, tears, and money into this that I have to love it. He MADE IT HIMSELF! This wasn't a, off-the-shelf kit for an S-chassis; it was hand made by this man. You cannot hate this if you're a real car guy.

Why the camber it's disgusting

Now don't get me wrong, I highly respect the build and how dope it is. But me personally, as soon as a foreign engine is running a BMW. To me it's no longer a BMW. This goes for any swaps for any car.

The most beautiful model BMW ever produced !!!! Since i was a teenager every time i saw this baby rolling down the road i followed it till it disappeared ... Just to own this car means you are 100% male , a masculine car that never gets old !!!! I am not a horsepower guy , so even if it was completely stock i would fine with it but this sounds like a monster !!!! absolutely awesome video all the way through !!!!

Nice car... Very, very nice in fact. I had 3 E30 back in the day, a 316i, a 318iS and then an M50 powered 325i. I very much doubt even this monster could hit 200mph as the E30 aerodynamics are laughable, I believe anything beyond about 150mph needs considerations towards the car's CD as much as it's power. Looks like the steering is still the rubbish 4 turns lock to lock and possibly the brakes are still bias towards LHD with the bar across the bulkhead, I would have assumed the latter would be easily solved... Purists might argue there are plenty of BMW V8 and even V12 that might fit in the E30 bay, but I would hazard a guess that the American lump gives more space for turbos and is easier to modify to ultra high BHP figures.

800 reliable horsepower, that's great. He still has a lot of room to turn up the wicked on this engine. American tuners are making over double this power with this motor. That kind of power would make it undrivable in that chassis and those roads. Really nice build.

I to drive AV8 twin Turbo That I pretty much uses a daily when it's not on the race track. Although the wife hates it and it's taken about everything I own it's everything I've always wanted and unfortunately I didn't build it by hand the way you did however I love it none the less and you have exquisite taste. A lot of work but terrible suspension, wrong camber, wrong engine. Have a look at e30 v10 from e60 M5.

i get it that the Chevy V8 is more affordable but i think he should have gone with a BMW V8. i like to keep engine swaps and cars getting the swap in the same family. for example a Nissan powertrain in a Infiniti or a Renault or any of the 3 is fine by me. and sometimes i can see exceptions il admit. i have a project that my ultimate goal goes against that completely only that the engine layout is the same across both brands. anyways as long as he enjoys it thats all that really matters

Great car, legendary car among certain circles, and all home built with an awesome build thread to back it up. This car is badass, looks the part and backs it up. OK the styling is not to everyone's taste but, as always, the owner built it for himself and I think he did a pretty good job...

There is a reason, why BMW engines won a lot of the "Engine of the year" awards. They are well engineered and designed for usage on daily basis. Now, to everyone yelling, that BMW's suck etc., first off - You can never rate a car, if you are not the one getting it in showroom. You can never determine how it has been used and abused, and abviously, driven crap is driven crap. Almost all German engines are very complicated, and the younger the cars get, the more complicated they become. Tri-Turbo Inline 6. Trying to DIY yourself? What I wanted to say with this, about no BMW V8 in the car, yes, Murrican engines are the best bang for buck. You can go OEM road, but it requires a lot deeper pockets than taking something commonly and widely avaivable with such an aftermarket support. For example - Dinan, a company that tunes BMW's. Their services are expensive, like, really expensive, cause they took the time to study the engineering of the cars and engines, and they can use this for their own good - there's little to none companies that provide such an extensive modifications list. There's Alpina and G-Power, but they have a little different background with BMW themselves.

this car is so amazing. im so impressed by his work. i love this car so much. hes not a "regular" guy though. hes a highly educated engineer who has lots of experience and access to equipment. so much respect and love for this car and his work. i got emotional and i cried.

The build is ruined by the heavy chevy v8. Should have used a BMW engine - an M60 or M62B44 would have kept it a BMW - right now it's a chevy in E30 clothes. Do not like. Seriously - I've had a M60B44 in my e30 - it's not that hard to do - and I'm willing to bet a BMW V8 is somewhat cheaper in europe / GB than a chevy engine. The BMW engine is also lighter and has a better HP/liter ratio in N/A form witch would have translated in it's boosted form. Oh and it gets better mileage.

To me, as a BMW purist, this is simply disgusting. E30's are becoming rarer, what's left should be preserved. This isn't even a BMW, it's a disgusting bastard build which is utterly tasteless. These cars aren't about HP, its about handling. On the other hand, kudos to putting effort into the car.

It is a beautifull build but from what I can see the ride is shocking! It's not for racing or anything like that so why not make it a bit more civilized?

Why so much negative camber? why stretched tires ? :/ I don't have anything against engine swap, but why not go for the ideal ride hight, camber and tire set up when you put so much money and effort in a performance car ? I really don't get it, it doesn't even look good.

So American engine in a German car...80% of that engine is American. He loved the feel and sound of the v8 and that's a Chevy v8. American muscle car engines 💪🏼
