I think the simpler version is more true to the 80s theme. This genre isn't supposed to be busy and I can see how younger audiences might want more. But it's chill, it doesn't need more.

it's not off beat, but people are used to hearing it at a different time in the original. the timing fits just right for this version, in my opinion.

People say this sounds strange but it was my first time hearing this song and I loved it. Just listened to the original then and THAT sounded strange after hearing this. So I think people are just finding the difference jarring because they're not ready for it. Personally, I'll stick with this version.

I'm exactly the same. I think I've heard the original once before this, but I'm completely in love with this song. Need to listen to original to see what everyone is talking about now..! Edit: just came back from listening to the original. Didn't like that at all, not my type of music. But I listen to this version now and again, so I'm also gonna stick to this version.

I came from the last video you uploaded (the one "fixed") and let me tell you,THIS ONE SOUNDS MUCH BETTER ON MY EARS! I love how the drums starts a little bit before the singing, it gives the feeling of her voice "waiting to hit the note with emotion" (and without the sound of the drums overlap) or something around that idea, you know? Great version! One thing that cannot be disguised is the vocal style that singers from the 2000's seem to adopt. This could be Katy Perry, Lana Del Rey or many other singers that all seem to sound similar. It's something to do with the fast vibrato.

+ Gustavo De La Rosa You could sort of see it as a move to resolve into a secondary key Ab. But it really quickly dives back into Bbsus via Gm Cm Fm. So it doesn't stay there for long. (Eb major is the home key)

After listening to both versions, I like this one more. It feels right for the era of music that's being replicated. The alternate version kinda feels like it's lacking a little something, and that something is the offset timing of the beat. It just fills the space well and makes it flow better. It's really interesting though!

Can people just quit making a fuss over whatever they think is "off" in this song? Cause I don't hear anything wrong. The chorus vocals are changed to match what TRONIC created & I think it actually sounds pretty damn awesome. I could never create something like this & it takes a lot of time I imagine. So let's just appreciate all the work that goes into these & not nitpick silly little things. Yes it sounds different from the original, that's the point! If you don't like it, then don't listen to it anymore. If you think you can do better, then go do it, make your own remix. But I think this is rad. Keep it up. :)
