818 Tequila is a "premium" Tequila owned by Kendall Jenner, one of the Kardashians. In this video, I give you my honest review of 818 Tequila, Kendall Jenner's Tequila.
818 Tequila is a Tequila brand that retails for anywhere between $50 to almost $70 depending on where you buy it. They have an 818 Blanco, the also have a 818 Reposado and a 818 Anejo expressions.
818 Tequila has been making waves on social media and traditional media despite all of the over celebrity tequila's coming out over the last few years. It's hard to keep up with all of them to be honest, but 818 has been able to carve out a space for itself in the market.
While it is an incredibly popular tequila, No 818 Tequila Review would be complete without talking about what it tastes like and telling you exactly how I feel.
I tasted both the Blanco expression and the reposado expression, give you my thoughts on who this tequila was made for, and my final verdict on whether or not I can recommend this tequila.

I honestly believe that there are additives in this tequila. There is very little transparency in the tequila industry so it’s difficult to state it as a fact. It honestly doesn’t taste like tequilla. I think in general celebrity tequilas are cash grabs and it’s awful because they are having such negative affects on the environment (they are picking agaves that have not fully matured and are just cloning the agaves rather than ethically producing them) and they are also hurting local farmers and smaller companies that are mexican owned.

Thanks for the review. I really try to avoid celebrity spirits unless of course there are some great reviews by people whose opinions I value. Although if the price is right I may jump on a bottle if no reviews are readily available. This tequila is just not cost effective for what you get. And it does seem like a money grab.

Basically.. it's very good tequila to those who don't know what a fine crafted tequila is supposed to taste like.. such as beautiful natural agave flavor.. imagine people telling you they are a hardcore whiskey drinker and they serve you something they think you will love and it's fireball or whatever additives 😂

Thanks for the review. Make a margarita from a $60 tequila - yikes. If I make margs (for a party), I buy Cuervo for about $23/1500ml - I mean it tastes like it was supposed to be tequila, then something happened. Still burning in all that lime and orange, it makes a fun cocktail. I applaud you for tasting this spirit and saving us all the pain of spending $60 on $12 tequila.

In research, I learned all Kardashian /Jenner products from make-up, accessories, clothes, under garments, cleaning supply, health, and now drinks are not of good authentic quality. All of their products are mediocre and over priced. The Kardashians show is a big commercial market to influence everyone of all age groups to buy and grow the Kardashian /Jenner empire in order to continue to support their lavish, comfortable and bling lifestyle. I tried the 818 Reposado for the first time yesterday. The first shot was a shocker; definitely not like other Tequilas I have had. I cannot clearly identify the flavor, but the first thing that came to mind was licorice or anice. Caramel and cotton candy? Did not pick up on that. I wonder if that is what the company was going for? Has any company rep ever come out and stated they were going for a licorice, cotton candy, caramel, etc. taste? In any case, it won't be a keeper.

I'm pretty certain these have additives lol why do these celebrities insist on such sub par products? The only quality celebrity tequila I can think of would be the Guillermo del Toro x Patron collaboration. At least that is traditionally made and additive free.

So I've heard that they have additives as well but it's hard to prove and I tried to be as impartial as possible despite the fact that it was pretty gross. It's all about the money for them which stinks because it hurts the agave and tequila market when people mass produce shit tequila. It's crazy

Some of these tequilas have up to 30% sugar thrown in there for the sweet taste and it’s still considered tequila. I’m sure that the Reposado is one.

Glycerine is a common additive used to sweeten flavor and create a smooth feel on the palate. A quality tequila should never taste overly sweet like candy. I woukd rather spend my money on an additive free tequila like Fortaleza, El Tequileno, Siete Leguas or El Tapatio. Salud!

ok, I found myself in a position to try this stuff. I think Lui, 2 years ago when this was made, was too nice...he doesn't feel comfortable trashing it until later. Or maybe he couldn't believe what he was tasting. It's really bad. If you want to recreate this expression...find three olives vodka birthday cake and mix two parts to one part 3 olives red licorice. Some experts would either garnish with used chewing gum or serve in a sneaker. Beginners would mix equal parts birthday cake and fruit loops vodka but you begin to lose the chemical vanilla then.

I bought the Blanco for $32. I instantly felt regret after tasting it. Then I found out it was kaitlin Jenners and went, oh....that makes sense. It's a 15$ bottle and a $20 upcharge for the celebrity.

Comparing to casamigos as a 20 sum year old who is not a heavy drinker and doesnt like harsh taste i like how it doesnt burn as much and sweeter. Could drink w coca cola lol. (I mostly pair w orange juice) i like casa and 818 cuz itll get me drunk quick so not too much sipping/drinking.

It’s ok. I had it and I enjoyed it. The tequila craftsmen’s in Jalisco Mexico are very talented. Nice vanilla / marshmallow after taste. That’s Jalisco crafting. A nice tequila. Enjoyable. I wish it wasn’t associated with that reality tv family. It’s a 20 dollar bottle that’s being sold for a lot higher.

Jimador is a highly industrialized and manipulated Tequila, not very different from 818. Is it less pricey? Yes. But it's no good. Spend your $ in something artisanal and traditional instead.

I will not buy ANY Celebrity Tequila! Sugar, vanilla, glycerin added. Even Don Julio 1942 and Clase Azul taste altered. Fortaleza is the standard by which I measure everything else. El Tesora, G4, Siete Leguas are some of my prefered brands

I like the repasado. The fact that the SJW's came after her with the "cultural appropriation" b.s makes me want to support her brand. It's really is pretty good tequila. I pick up vanilla up front, and oak on the back end. I agree there could be more of an agave note. My favorite I've had was a small (at the time) label called Leyva.
