Considering that his generation invented Heavy Netal, Contemporary Gothic Culture, and Poetry Rock.. he has every right to sing this song. Rock on brother 🤟🏿
I agree that he has every right to sing this song, but... Heavy Metal began in the late 60s when this man was already in his late 30s. Contemporary Gothic culture began in the late 70s when he was in his 40s. I'll admit, I couldn't find anything on poetry rock, and I'm not even sure what it is, but I would be willing to bet that it also began around that same time based on some Google searches. He was born in 1934. His generation did not invent anything Metal. If anything, they brought us swing and doo-wop.
@@Chosen_One yup. at most i can agree that his generation pioneered roots of rock music but you could say that for other genres then. i'm actually impressed at how he still knew about (and liked) this song since it came out when he was well into his 60s!
The lyrics of a lot of these songs really match senior citizens well, just like when Johnny cash covered hurt. The music takes on a new meaning. As an 80 year old I can only imagine looking around you and noticing how many of your friends are hitting the floor
That man has accomplished far more than those celebrity judges ever will in thier lifetimes but the old man had one last thing to check off on his bucket list...... and that was to rock out on AGT! 😎 Mission accomplished sir 💯🎯
Dude is literally a rocket scientist and probably spent his whole life playing everything by the book and numbers. This probably gave him the greatest personal joy and satisfaction of anything he's ever done
@@HardBloodNelza For death metal that would include Antidemon, Konvent, Crypta, Frantic Amber, Spirit’s Breeze, Mortification; for other types of metal I would say Infected Rain, Jinjer, Living Sacrifice, Assassin and others. I am also a classical musician.
Pardon, 'Christopher Lee.' That said, I do believe that this man may well be the second most metal grandpa ever. Super awesome career, did a lot for science... Christopher Lee released metal albums and also fought in WWII as well as was a legend in films. I hope the man in the vid is doing well and enjoying his fame. I bet he regularly gets some looks and entertaining reactions when he goes to karaoke and sings that song because it sure as shit is unexpected lol Awesome stuff!
These guys are proactive, educated, progressive, always pushing themselves to conquer any challenge--Its not surprising, in that context, that this dude totally digs metal--& Has no problem, at any age, performing it, just because he wanted to!.....Absolutely love it! 🥰🖤💀
my dad is in his mid 60's he just relaxes and smokes weed all day while working on my yard, because he's bored! lol Last year, he made me a deck with a roof on it, so we can chill and bbq on, this year, he's completely removed my grass and is about too roll tip top grass on it. Him and his buddy are out there right now as i type this! haha
Grandma: "Help, I've fallen and I can't get up!!" Grandpa (hopping out of the recliner): "LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!!! LET THE BODIES HIT THE FLOOR!!!"
Goddamnit grandpa why haven't you taken your pills Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Let the bodies hit the floor Grandpa what are you doing ? Let the bodies hit the- Grandpa don't you finish that- *FLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR* ._.
Too late! U just died! ! Without doing shit! ! ...Better luck next time ! ....Unless you aren't a Hindi, & believe in reincarnation. Sorry...ima bbaadd, nutjob, kinda person.... I think. When I look into a mirror & see an old man I am confused! ....is that me?? Or is it all an illusion for we " all " are simply a type of computer code, in a simulation of the most strange, indeed! Why? Why is anything? Why would chemical elements come together in such a strange and most unique way as to create the basic building blocks of " life " ? Amino-acids, & odd proteins & such to do anything? They cannot! Dirt is dirt, water is water, & eletricity itself, the same. It would take something More to make something more . It would take a " God " or creator or something to start all this vast universe we all " live " in , right? A scientist to start his experiment inside a sterile vacuum like " outer space ", or a petree,?, pitre?, peatre?,....PEE-TREE dish!....HELL ! we cannot even a spell check program that can guess what we're trying to say when we type; "petree dish." !!! ..YES ! Google I'm trying to spell 'letter ', or Pete's, or FML, ...YES!, PISS TREE DISH!!!! That's it !!! Good job Google ! U have justified your $8,678,357,647,890 existence !!!!! .....bye-bye!
This shit is actually incredible. About 50 percent of the crowd was judging hardcore but holy shit its honestly really impressive that hes screaming like that. Why have I not seen this until now?
the fact that at that age he was able to scream and growl like that was freaking awesome most elderly people would rupture their lungs if they ever tried that
I looked it up, he was absolutely horrible but I can see why the crowd was pumped up. Being a science nut I think his previous accomplishments were greater however.
@@Stardus so.... now every time he comments there is some ass like you replying that he is doing it for the likes. can you people not just shut up and let nice things be nice. Also, since when do we assume so much with so little information.
I hope he won this entire competition. He has more talent in his fifth digit than any other contestant. I didn't watch this season or any other season, but I can just tell. He has incredible magnetism and I hope he is in the heaven looking through the telescope.
I mean put yourself in the shoes of the jury. I am NOT giving an X to an aerospace engineer that lead a program to repair the the Hubble space telescope lol. There are some people you just sit down and listen to until they say they are finished and that's that
I mean, it would take a special asshole to give an X to an 82 year old who feels this is the highlight of his entire life. I mean he ranks it higher than being on the team to repair the Hubble telescope! Fatherhood has made Simon a lot kinder, otherwise I think he would have been that special asshole.
