They also sprinting on full speed not with only mortar, they has full speed with 10+ mortar ammo, "main" gun ammo, 1 MG/at rifle/at rocket launcher, 1 pistol, grenade, tnt with detonator, few medkits and shovel/axe
You know, if the normal mortars could at least do the same, maybe this would be a good counter to grey zone camping as well as give mortars a good use.
All the tanks currently on Pacific have thin armor, so mortars work pretty well there. Actually recently found I could kill tank crew of an LVT with a mere A5M mg.
@@Pratt_ It is not only an arcadey mechanic, but one that renders AT rifles useless against all but the most reckless tank players, AT guns as well in many cases. Whether to invest time into flanking a tank and how much (and at what range) can be an engaging decision, one that gray zones remove from the picture. Gray zones don't resemble anything in the real world, nor does any benefit outweigh the frustration. At a minimum it should be dialed back on most maps, they extend much too far forward and prevent effective flanking. Even changing the shape of the gray zone would help.
Speaking of Panther G in Berlin, is it still one shot kill if you shoot it at the turret? I know it could happen because we always bring full ammo but I've tried this in WT and it will only kills 2-3 crews inside the turret. Not blowing up the whole tank.
Depends on aiming and used gun. T-34-85 have green marks on Panther turret sides even from front. Side penetration is better, but you have to hit ammo storage to blow the tank. So in many cases it just kills some crew.
"Slow rate of fire?" WIth enough ready ammunition, a light mortar can fire about as fast as you can drop rounds down the barrel, ie. about 26-28 per minute. That's one of the fastest, if not the fastest rate of fire for all artillery (mortars, howitzers, infantry- antitank- and field guns) excluding autocannons - and since few of those have clips of that size, and clip change is always a large delay factor, it's a good contender even for those.
Not to mention the fact the mortar alone weights 56kg (120ish lbs) and this guy is just running around like it had no weight, not to even count munitions
Clearly you've never actually used a mortar squad against an enemy team... you can get some absolutely absurd amount of kills if you know where your aiming
@@Shinzon23 I did, you can choke down some bots on the first point if it’s open right after the spawn, and that about it, the squads loose it’s power 5 minutes into the game, and overall feels kinda boring afterwards
@@FANNYclNADYN I always have a sniper in my squad so once I'm lower on ammo for the tubes I can still pick people off. You really need to have as many engineers with the max resources perk and the added ammo for mortar perk on the mortarmen too.
“Penetrates front armor”, well basically every mortar penetrates while flying 80 deg downwards. And to penetrate pz IV armor is not a big deal even for a smaller mortars 😂
German tanks in this game are just weak if i remember. Sherman 75mm and t-34 and kv-1 76mm can just use HE rounds to kill panzer IV by just shoting at the turret. You can even kill tiger I by just simply shoting at the turret from back but it is more tricky because you have think how HE splash dmg should penetrate 5mm armor on top of engine because you can just 1 tap his ammo rack in this way. And my favorite above tracks panzer IV have like only 10 mm of armor meaning in good spots you can 1 tap it too.
