Omg and Eric is second on the right in the second row! It was so cool seeing our dude Julius Toney leading the entrance chant! I sooooo miss all of you guys Jon! And of course I was right up front cheering you all on!!
Found your vid today...you guys sound good, maybe even better than we did back in 1979-1980 when I was a baritone in 82d. Best time was singing the national anthem at Rockingham motor speedway and meeting Richard Petty in the pits! Entertaining show! Peace, brother.BG
From the 82nd. Airborne school I went straight to Special Forces Academy/ 4 years with the 10th SFG in Europe, and 28 months in Vietnam,.with the fifth, I won't trade that experience for any other in my life. Airborne - Ranger all the way! 1960 to 1968. "De Oppresor Liber'" Sgt, Mike Meléndez, San Juan, P.R.
My uncle was in the 82nd when I as 10 years old. He came to visit us one time dressed in uniform. He was the sharpest thing I’d ever seen! Thank you men!
to 88warhead YOUR GRANDADDY GAY......... and I know you don't have the guts to say that to either one of us while being in our face cause trust me you will get CRUSHED............
I heard him say on behalf of the Commanding Genereal, Major General Scaporatti. He has since earned 2 more stars and retired. He was also my platoon leader in the early 80's. Wonderful memories for this old paratrooper!
the chorus welcomed the group I was with the day I joined the 82nd in '76, and they sang just as well then as now...so my only criticism, such as it is, is I think they should have worn their class As, and really show everyone just who we are! AIRBORNE ALL THE WAY
When I was in Germany and The Hungarian Revolution was going on, There were a lot of troop movements going on and we received a few hundred airborne troops at our camp, they had blue Berets and I was told they did not jump. the guys called them legs, they were just attached to the Airborne unit, I don't see any parachute insignia. are these guys legs.
eogg25 blue beret is a unit assigned to the United Nations. Or it used to be that way. I wore a blue helmet in Bosnia. Assigned to the U.N. peace keeping.I was also Airborne Ranger
Yes, I know the UN uses a sky Blue Helmet, but These were dark blue Berets, and these guys were attached to the Airborne unit but did not jump, they were nick named legs. This was a long time ago, who knows what they wear now
This is the 82nd airborne they jump from planes, then there is the 101st airborne which don’t jump from planes. They still do air assaults but don’t jump. Which why these guys the 82nd airborne calls them and other military branches legs because they don’t jump. My dad served 20 years in the 82nd and he always talks about “fucking legs this and that” lol 😂
From 82-95 Fort Bragg was all I knew. Growing up there was an experience.. This group always made me happy. Now since i live else where when i get home sick i pull their old C asset and CD out and listen to them. Thank you for your service and the great music!
