On this episode: Eric and Conrad travel back twenty years to WCW Halloween Havoc '98! From the opening match between Chris Jericho and Raven, to the WCW World Title main event between Goldberg and Diamond Dallas Page, they leave no stone unturned! What did Eric think of the beginning of Raven's "spoiled rich kid" angle? Disco Inferno in TWO matches on the card?! Who did Lodi replace in his match with Perry Saturn? What was with the Steiner Bros. calamity? And what about the infamous Hogan-Warrior rematch? Is it still just as bad after all this time? Plus, DDP-Goldberg getting cut short, and how much money Eric thinks that cost WCW. All this plus talk about Hall vs. Nash, Sting vs. Bret Hart, Fit Finlay, Billy Kidman, Buff Bagwell, Wrath, Juventud Guerrera, and so much more!
Since 1984 every wrestling promoter has tried to best Vince McMahon and the World Wrestling Federation unsuccessfully… except one, Eric Bischoff. Eric beat Vince McMahon’s Monday Night RAW head-to-head in Monday Night Wars 83 consecutive times. 83 Weeks will take a deep dive into the highs and lows of Eric Bischoff’s unparalleled successes in the wrestling business.

This is my favorite podcast ever. I can’t believe I just found it. I haven’t watched or payed any attention to wrestling since 1999. I miss those days, and getting to listen to this brings back so many good and some bad memories. Props to bichoff. Sound like a guy I would actually enjoy hanging with. Even though back in the day I was such a mark that I hated him. Love this though.

As much as Bischoff was mad because Ultimate Warrior went into business for himself on his debut promo. It was entertaining as hell. It gave range to the UW character. I laughed out loud when Warrior looked at the Disciple and said, "Who is this? Your barber?"

I don't know. It was entertaining for 2 or 3 minutes. Then it just got boring. It's like okay we know you're crazy and like to ramble incoherently for 20 minutes straight but you're in there with Hogan. Just Challenge him to a match and move on.

I remember this ppv. I ordered it at my cousin's house and watched. The main reason I was watching was for the Hogan vs warrior match. I thought there should have been a title on the line. But Goldberg was world champ at the time. Other then that the match seemed dated and was a cluster fuck. At the end of the Hogan warrior match we got a message from the ppv to turn to another channel to see the last match. So I was not affected by the blackout. I still have this show on vhs from the original ppv.

I think nash walking out was done great he showed that the fight between the 2 former best friends was more important than the win. He got his point across to Hall & Hall still got his hand raised. & the diamond cutter was very over I'd argue the stone cold stunner if anything. But I'd still go with the cutter.

Warrior was ASKED many questions in his shoot which produced these answers, which Conrad misrepresented.

What Metzler, Conrad and the rest of the wrestling universe dont understand is the Hogan/Warrior angle was way over with the preteen audience. The ppv payoff was never going to be great because the biggest targeted audience wouldnt be able to order the show.

Have to agree with that, as I was one of those kids loving this Warrior Hogan feud

Conrad wants to know if he's related to the Hulk. Well when Hulk did the leg drop not many people kicked out. If Conrad did the leg drop nobody would kick out and no one would get up again. I can safely say there is a family link here.

We all know they never wanted it to work go back and look up some of the old warrior shoot interviews. They only brought The Warrior character back because Hulk Hogan wanted his win back 😒🙄. They could of done so much with guys like Warrior or Hart another guy Hogan got to come into WCW to bury 🤬🤬.

We should have learned from David Flair not to push family into hot angles. 10 years later, "hey Garrett, want referee the main even match on PPV?"

I really enjoy the show, but a commercial every 5 minutes makes it tough to just let it play while I'm doing stuff around the house. Today took the cake by interrupting a COMMERCIAL with a COMMERCIAL

Went to a WCW house show at the Ft.Pierce Civic center around this time and some woman wanted me to let her kids have our ringside seats. Sorry babe , no couldn't do. It was a hot time in wrestling.
